Fixing 'Keying' on Cars :(

    Recommended Posts

My 2011 Lancer with paint protection (lol) and '80 Series wagon have been badly keyed.

Has anyone had this kind of damage, and if so, did they find anyone to put it right that they were particularly happy with?

    Sometimes I hate Aberfoyle Park!

    Thanks,

    :frown: LC

One of the members this side of town has a company called Bac 2 Nu (I think) - you could try contacting him and if he can't help, might be able to point you in the right direction - I will PM you his details.

My beloved longed for Edith the Audi tt was keyed twice in the UK on every panel! We thought the garage had done a good job however when it came to selling it the dealers & potential buyers all knew it had been respraryed! Lost a fortune on that car!

Your paint protection would have washed off 3 months after you bought the car. Yeah Aberfoyle Park is a bit rough unfortunately these things will happen. Unless you've upset someone?

Can't believe the lovely LC would upset anyone (unlike a few others I can think of )- must be a case of mistaken identity!

Thank you all for your replies.

There must be something wrong with me, as I actually feel a bit better that I'm not alone :(

lol, Nobby, it's not retribution against me. There was a party round here, possibly the footy club, last night so I'm putting it down to that.

I can't believe paint protection was such a waste of money, but at least I won't pay extra to have it reinstated, if it's already off the rest of the car.

Thanks for the contacts, I will see how much it comes to...and hope I can afford it.

Tyke, thanks for making me chuckle when all I feel like doing is being sad.

Ultimately though, they are just cars. I guess if this is the worst of my problems then I am pretty lucky

    What is keying?

Scratching a car with a sharp object - normally keys.

A1 chips and scratches did a great job on a car for us, it too had been keyed really badly. I would also say to Xzibit if you think Aberfoyle Park is a bit rough that you really do need to get out more.
