We have my niece here from the uk and having a ball taking a month out to show her around!......doing well with seeing wild, wildlife (apparently zoos and NP's don't count!) I think all we need to find now are wild echidnas and wild wombats!

here is her meeting a thorny devil up near kings canyon......:jiggy:

She's doing pretty well on her list!....seen.......

koalas, (Belair and others)

kookaburras (lots)

kangaroos (everywhere!)

wallabies (everywhere!)

echidna (Philip island)

fairy penguins (Philip island)

sting ray (Philip island)

dingos (kings canyon)

wedge tail eagles (NT)

camels (NT)

emus (NT)

thorny devils (NT)

bearded dragon (NT)

jumping mouse (NT)

red back (coober pedy)

preying mantis (north sa)

dolphins (eyre peninsula)

sea lions (eyre peninsula)

Shingle backs (eyre peninsula)

possums (mt gambia)

We are actually impressed reading her list!.......so she says she is still waiting for a Platypus and a wombat and believe it or not we haven't seen a single snake since she's been here, spending sometime at a friends place up the river next week tho so that will take care of that!

I'd love to know where the best spots for spotting wildlife are, please! Preferably near Gawler (north Adelaide), if possible?

Watch out for the emus, they'll try to grab your food over your shoulder
