Short term holiday rental wanted early March for 3 weeks

    Recommended Posts

We are heading down for job interviews prior to move down in the summer. Need a rental for 3 adults 1 child (grandad coming over to help out) from 3-20 March. Anywhere Coastal North to South considered if rate right.

Looking at stayz and the usual places, but thought would check on here as well.

    thanks

    Ian

    Hi Ian,

Sorry that I don't have your entire dates...only from the 3rd to the 11th. I do know someone who has from the 11th to the 20th but there are a number of events taking place in Adelaide during this period and these dates will likely close down quite soon.

Hi! You could look at the Home and Away web site and Century 21 web site for holiday rentals as they are managed by professionals

    Good luck

I've had a good look around and a lot is booked out as there is so much going on.

    Still premium rates as well.

Watch out for those dodgy adss on Gumtree or folk trying to ram their accommodation down your throat if the don't have a good "shop front" - as in a decent website, great reviews on Stayz/ Airbnb and so on. Check they are insured as well, been a few issues that way. Also ask for an ABN (Australian Business Number) , if none supplied they could be "doing it on the side " and not covered.

    Good luck.

When we moved here we chose a place that had been around for a while, had great reviews and the owner had spent a lot of money getting their property ready. When we looked around comparing places it was obvious that some places looked and sounded dodgy.

It's a good idea to have a look to see if the rental business has a licence, an Australian Business Number ( check it here http://abr.business.gov.au/) and whether they can be bothered to spend the money on a website. If they can't be arsed and are out for a quick buck you could get stung. The ATO (Australian Taxation Office) has a good link for rental property owners https://www.ato.gov.au/General/Property/Residential-rental-properties/
