    Recommended Posts

Hey guys we are currantly in the progress of a partner visa ship 801/820. Application has been submitted and now its the evidence gathering time. I'm looking for advice on whether or not to get and migration agent to help us. If so can anyone recommend one.

    Welcome to the forum.

A migration agent cannot gather your evidence for you, merely provide advice on what constitutes suitable evidence. Personally I wouldn't bother with a migration agent, just use the info provided to help you work out what to provide.

If you'Ve already lodged then you are not really needing an agent. The application part is the part they would have dealt with and you've applied. The gathering supporting evidence you would, as has been said, have to do that yourselves anyways.

You need to be able to show 12 months de facto evidence and if you have been a de facto couple for longer than this, say a few years, then submit evidence if you can that supports this. Could be the difference between temp partner visa and PR.

Don't forget your supporting statements, the stat decs and later in police checks and medical.
