Comfort Zone

For all of those thinking of getting out of it.........

COMFORT ZONE

I USED TO HAVE A COMFORT ZONE WERE I KNEW I WOULDN’T FAIL.

THE SAME FOUR WALLS AND BUSY WORK WERE REALLY MORE LIKE JAIL.

I LONGED SO MUCH TO DO THE THINGS I’D NEVER DONE BEFORE,

BUT STAYED INSIDE MY COMFORT ZONE AND PACED THE SAME OLD FLOOR.

I SAID IT DIDN’T MATTER THAT I WASN’T DOING MUCH.

I CLAIMED TO BE SO BUSY WITH THINGS INSIDE THE ZONE,

BUT DEEP INSIDE I LONGED FOR SOMETHING SPECIAL OF MY OWN.

I COULDN’T LET MY LIFE GO BY, WATCHING OTHERS WIN

I HELD MY BREATH, AND STEPPED OUTSIDE AND LET THE CHANGE BEGIN.

I TOOK A STEP AND WITH NEW STRENGTH I’D NEVER FELT BEFORE,

I KISSED MY COMFORT ZONE GOODBYE AND CLOSED AND LOCKED THE DOOR.

IF YOU’RE IN A COMFORT ZONE, AFRAID TO VENTURE OUT

REMEMBER THAT ALL WINNERS WERE ONCE FILLED WITH DOUBT!

A STEP OR TWO AND WORDS OF PRAISE CAN MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE,

REACH OUT FOR YOUR FUTURE WITH A SMILE, SUCCESS IS THERE FOR YOU!!

I did pen one ditty about olives a few years ago - I'll have to dig it out.:biglaugh:

You do realise my next post will be my 1000th!.

Should have saved that ditty for it!!!

It's all part of the big move here.

Would you want to stay in the UK for the rest of your lives saying what if??

We did have a relative who had the chance to move here via the merchant navy years ago.

All we heard was the regrets when they came out to visit us.

Yes,the stress can be horrendous, we know all about that.

Many times we have gone out of our comfort zone in one way or another but mainly come out of it better than ever. From taking huge risks to the move here........then people say "Aren't you lucky!"

My old UK accountant was fond of saying.."Luck is when the paths of opportunity and preparation cross"

Certainly to have a second crack at life it's worth coming out of the zone - whatever you do or where you live.

We certainly appreciate what we have done/got and so on - even the small things.

Your life should offer challenge.Rise up to it and you can reap rewards.

Even so I can't help saying "the best of luck"

Hey! - you have my 1000th post;);)
