Hi everyone,

Just a 489 question here. I thought someone must know the answer here for sure.

A friend of mine just got 489 state nomination, he is going to apply for 489 now. His IELTS score expires in about a month. He would need to get a new IELTS?

Thanks.

It only takes a few hours to complete the 489 visa application. You can add some more documents later on after submitting application. Don't be too stressed, so long as your friend submit the application with the valid English test, it's not a big deal at all.

Of course, your friend has not been done anything without preparing the required documents, it might takes a big longer, but won't take more than a week in my experience.

Congratulation and I wish your friend get the visa grant shortly.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the response. I guess he is worried because it will take 6-8 months to process 489 visa, and CO might come back saying that his IELTS has expired, does he really need to take or prepare for taking a new IELTS score?

Or it does not matter all as long as once he has submitted application with valid score?

The answer was already given in my previous reply. The English test result expiry is linked to the day of making the visa application, not a processing time at all.

Refer to the language requirement in the immigration website,  it is clearly written.

I will repeat again, 'Don't need to worry about taking the IELTS exam again'

1 year work requirement means minimum of 52 weeks.

I don't think 48 weeks comply with that !

In a year 4 weeks people may take their holiday. Then? And that is acceptable , i think this is a worker rights

but you still get paid for these 4 week as you are working full-time so you should have 52 payslips

Hi

Is anyone can confirm how many weeks to show for job. I heard 48 weeks is fine

Mate,

Continuous 52 week payslips not required. You can add any 52 week within 2 years of residency.

Don't you have extra 4 weeks pay slip or invoice to prove it ?

Cheers
