887 Visa - What's the update?

Recommended Posts

Dear All,

Could you please elaborate what functional English is for secondary applicant ? Any specific bands we need to achieve ? 😊

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
D

I applied in August 2018, first contact in November 2019 and still waiting

I applied on Sep 8, 2018, first contact on Nov 21, 2019. Emailed CO 4 times but no response 😞. Feel left behind. Btw, my CO was Adam. Looked at the grants recently, I didn’t see his name. He quitted his job, maybe?? 🙃

Hi everyone

We have applied on December 22 (2018). Co has asked for further documents One week ago regarding experience letter from employer and residency proof as my husband was living in staff accomodation where he was working. The owner hasn’t signed in the tenency agreement form. Now we are trying to reach owner but she is not responding at all. My husband has got all the payslip and rent deduction was done from payslip. What is any other alternative to get experience letter from employers and sign in tenency form. What if we can’t get all these. Need some suggestions please. It’s already been a week. We can’t decide what to do.

Thank you all

Hi D, congratulation on your grant. You said "main applicant" ? Did you do IELTS again ? or just uploaded the same you did for 489 ?

I did IELTS again. I did it 10 years before when I applied for the 475 visa.

Really 😳 ? What band score it required ? 7 ? Getting IELTS 7.0 is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life.

Police station stamp is there because JP office was in police station

@DANISH RAZA Do the parents and child have to be present while the stat dec is being signed infront of JP?

Can the PR/citizen be someone not living in the same state/town?

Appreciate your help mate.

They will never ask you do IELTS 7, pls do not worry, some COs do make mistake and ask primary applicants to provide English again while they have already provided In 489, even if they do ask you the requirements is just functional English which is IELTS 4.5 , If you have completed University degree in Australia you can use your graduation certificate and transcripts as well.

Congratulations to all who got their visa today...

Honestly I am quite pis***d off with this random selection policy....

Waited till today and than took the plunge and sent a complaint..not that's it's gonna bother them or 😒 whatever

I didn't include my transection reference no or application I'd number inside the feedback ...did I make a mistake with regards to that...???

No, Parents do not need to go.

Any Citizen or PR holder can give this for you, Who knows you. Does not matter where he or she live.
