We are soooo "DESPERATE" for a sale on our house so put it with another agent few days ago (dropped £30K) had viewing today and we had just one hours notice - not good with 5 kids (my 4 plus a friend)all in the house on a dark wet mizerable day!House was a tip(toys everywhere,breakfast dishes still to clear and yes we were all still in our P'Js having a lazy day plus i had to dust,hoover and hide the mounds of washing i had)

STRESS!!!!

I was like a mad woman - kids were hysterical!

Needless to say i had a big rosy face,sweat dripping off me when i answered the door an hour later and all the kids were placed infront of a dvd threatened not to speak or move an inch!

I am now on my 2nd glass of wine trying to chill!!!

Keep your fingers crossed guys as these people are ideal buyers have sold their property already and in rented at the mo!

And they want to buy asap!

They will be making a decision between mine and 3 others before the end of the week!!!!!

Mine is the cheapest - and a bargain at that!!!!

 

No pressure but hey we could be there soon if they would only go for our house and boy i would be ecstatic if that was the case as i wouldn't have to start my 11 year old at high school here and my 3 year old (not 4 till Aug) in fulltime mainstream!

I soooo hope they buy it Gill. With the manic clear up operation I would say you deserved the sale. :notworthy:

Fingers are crossed here for you and you can soon be thinking containers, flights and rentals. ;)

THank you sooo much Pete as ever offering your never ending support!

I'm a wreck at the moment and stress getting the better of me again and yes i admit i am very "wobbly" but if we got an offer on the house i'm sure that i would feel on top of the world!!!

We have only had 1 viewer who has still to sell. Our neighbour had a viewer yesterday who according to her has looked at every house in the area, BUT NOT MINE:sad:

and ours is the cheapest in the area. 30k less than the neighbours and ours is bigger :mad:

Hi Gill

Hope its good news by the end of the week. Know exactly how you feel, very very stressful trying to clean up with kids around your feet and family pets!! We have had lots of viewings but no offers as yet. We live in hope that the housing market will start to pick up again.

Hi Gill, hope you get the sale you need ,ther are so many of us in the same boat, the housing market is on its arse !!. OH is a manager at one of the biggest estate agents in manchester and she is struggling to sell ours , we;ve dropped it 20k in the last month [ sack her]. Getting closer to when the visas need activating [ december] so all getting stressed. We may have to rent out or something, when our visas were granted the last problem we thought we;d have was selling up, **** happens. by the way i work in liverpool on the pfi schools. GOOD LUCK anyway and may we all sell our housea and get out of here. wayne n louise.

I know you're desperate to get out here and live the Aussie dream Gill, so I'll keep all my bits and bobs crossed for you too...but what a shame you're having to drop the price so much. With all the effort you put into cleaning up the place let's hope the buyer bites...

I know the stress you are going through!! My tenants have given me notice and are moving out in a month. I've decided to bite the bullet and keep it vacant, reduce the price another 5 grand and hope for the best.

 

Its not easy selling your house but even harder when your on the other side of the world! :mad:
