hi there everyone!!

my family and i live in liverpool (UK) & have been thinking for sometime now about moving to australia.

i have looked and looked on the net and just feel dizzy. i saw your site and thought your members would be the best to ask.

i'm a social work case manager in a specialist youth justice team.

my husband (john) is a deep civil engineer who has also worked off shore (gas, oil, water).

we have three children pascale (13), brodie (8) and bailey (7).

where do we start?

we look forward to hearing from anyone who can help.

ciao for now:confused:

Hi i think one way of getting a quick burst of info is to maybe attend one of the migration promotions, they are usually held by agents who will give you some basic starting information regarding the options available to you. I am not sure how you find out where or when they are held sorry.

Yep, I'd say the best way to start is have a consultation with a migration agent. If you phone them, they'll usually give you 15 mins where they'll listen to your employment and family history, then say whether you have a good chance of obtaining a visa and what route to go down.

Good Luck

Come to the Liverpool,l meet-up.... nothing like talking it through with other like-minded souls...

Also, in October there is an Emigrate Now exhibition at Aintree.

http://www.emigrate2.co.uk/news_detail-141.htm

When we started out, we had to travel to York & Sandown for the Emigrate exhibitions.

IMHO...... focus on your skills assessement, as nothing else happens without it. :)
