Good caravan parks?

They could be busy cos early October is school holidays. A lot of them have 2br cabins with a mini kitchen, but may not be necessarily cheaper than a furnished apartment. Sometimes you can get good last minute deals especially if you are going to stay more than 7 days with a furnished apartment. Cabins are about $100 a night for a basic one.

We stayed at the Adelaide shores West Lakes Caravan camp in a cabin for 4 weeks when we arrived. It had 2 bedrooms and very comfortable and a lovely location. It was certainly a lot cheaper than any fully furnished houses we looked at the time.

Hey maybe you could all club together and bunk down in the bunkhouse.....But seriously, cabins are expensive for long term, they are fairly small and really meant for holidays in the summer where you sit outside and your kids are off playing. A furnished rental even for a few weeks gives you a comfortable start and a base to find a long term rental from.

Guest LOCO IN OZ

Neal & Linda, hi, I'd be interested in some further info on your site please, do you have a web site or email address?

As well as renting a caravan we were also thinking about maybe renting a Maui or similar motor home for a month or so on arrival, do you have spaces for those too?

We actually spent 1 month in a Wicked Camper in 2006 whilst travelling from Sydney along the coast to Cape Tribulation then back again, if we can do that I'm sure we can manage without renting a house when we arrive
