hi all, we have just joined this forum having been a member of poms in oz for a while but having settled on a life in adelaide (we think but could change again yet). can anyone tell us if there is a demand for social work in adelaide or are there any social workers thinking of going there etc. i have another year before i qualify and think i have to have two years working experience before can apply so we may be stuck for 3 years yet. any opinions, info or advice would be very welcome....

Hi paula i am a social worker working in child protction. I had social worker working in my team who was from oz she advised that yeah u need two years experience and they have an on going de,mand especially in children and famiilly teams as we have here.
