Having to conduct banking through toughened glass and having to use a turn table finger scrabbly thing to get your cash.

 

Going to social security in the morning taking your ticket, going across the road to the greasy spoon for something to eat cos you know you wont be seen for 4 hours at least, then going back to look at the furniture thats bolted to the floor so it can't be thrown at the staff who sit behind toughened glass and hopefully give you a giro(20 yrs ago) on the turn table finger scrambly thing.

 

Queues for everything. Especially in the post office.

 

The fact that Sainsburys in Haringey had a security guard.

 

weird processed food like chips with tomato sauce in the middle.

 

French apples that are like sawdust.

I'm not over yet but I'm really really hoping Australia doesn't have those stupid four-wheeled shooters you see everywhere here in britain they are a nightmare apart from having had three of the things driven over my feet, nearly knocked down when one was taking a short cut on a pavement, people who ride these things should be given a mental test I've seen them driven the wrong way up one-way streets on pavements in clothing shops knocking loads of clothes on the floor people who seem to drive these things seem to be rude and arrogant, sorry I have scooter rage and looking forward to coming to Oz so my feet can recover.

 

Please tell me Adelaide hasn't got the scooter bug yet.
