We've Bought A B&B

    Hi

After a lot of trials and tribulations we have bought a B&B in Aldinga Beach (Kalabity Jane's). We take over on 19th March (OMG!). We start the handover this Thursday - the couple are going to show us the ropes!! (I hope they have a lot of patience :goofy:!).

We arrived at the end of November and Aldinga Beach was a starting point for us but we love it here and decided to settle. Our boys started school in January and have settled in really well.

We are all looking forward to the next chapter of our new life in Oz. :jiggy:

Congratulations. We stayed at Kalabity Janes when we first arrived its a lovely place and we will always have fond memories of our stay there.

Jeneane and Max are great people and if you follow in their footsteps, you wont go far wrong.

We hope you have success in your new business, all the best, good luck !

    Hi Linda and Family,

Congratulations to you all. What an amazing achievement in such a short space of time. It will be hard work, but what a fantastic opportunity for you. Good luck for the future.

Thanks for your good wishes. The couple who run it now do a fantastic job so we have a lot to live up to - I'm more nervous at the thought of looking after the chooks (I only know how to cook them!)

Chooks are easy to look after. If food and water are available they kinda look after themselves as long as they have enough room. If they are free ranging make sure you have somewhere to lockem up at night away from foxes. Borrow a book from the library. There is nothing like a really fresh egg, makes you really understand how crummy supermarket ones can be.

Hi Linda - we might well be customers of yours one day soon too. Kalabity Jane's has been recommended to me by friends who stayed there a few months ago. Had you done B&B before? Are you keeping the name?

    Good luck with the B&B!

At least you've not taken over on peak time so you'll be able to ease yourselves in.
