I however am going off to work soon as public hols are well worth working for the 150% bonus :)

Absolutely right. I went into the school and paid a lot of cash for them to be taken off my hands for a year. they then have the front to send them home on a thursday and say 'don't bring them back until Tuesday' Whats that all about????:arghh:

Sorry M for taking over your thread I shall move a few posts and make a new thread when the kids let me have a bit of time.

Oh well so much for finding out what people were up to! Hijacked thread!

We went to Goolwa Wooden Boat Festival and wasted $15 each to get in only to spend about 10 minutes in there. What a waste of money!

Well I went to work and children in Adelaide had the cheek to be ill so had to do some work!!!!!

Luckily Pete didn't take the children to the races as he may have been tempted to either throw them infront of the horses or feed the horses with the kids!!!!!!!!

We went to the Whispering Wall and Jacob's Creek Visitor Centre. Had a great day out. We couldn't believe how quiet it was on the roads. Nothing like going out in the UK on a Bank Holiday!

You're lucky with the weather and lucky they changed the date of the Adelaide Cup. It used to be held in May, so it was always cold!!

Tut tut @ the lot of you - no such thing as a "Bank Holiday" here - they are "Public Holidays" - gotta learn the lingo or the locals will know you're foreign!
