Qantas do a one way Migrant special which includes 40kg of baggage allowance per person. Details/fares aren't available online, you need to call them for details (0208 600 4300).

Hopefully this will help someone on PIA!

Marilyn, Glenn & Louis (age 3) - hoping to arrive in Adelaide in July

Unfortunately one way tickets are always more expensive as the airlines like to make sure the return flights are full, but the plus of the Qantas is the baggage allowance and they fly direct to Adelaide. We like to fly with Virgin but their baggage allowance is only 23kg in Economy and Premium Economy with each extra kg of excessive baggage being £30! Having said all this, we will actually fly to Sydney on Virgin and then get a flight to Adelaide (we'll just have to be super careful what we pack)! Just to show I don't have any allegiance to Qantas!

We were allowed 40Kg each from Singapore airlines. We actually got them to confirm this by email before we went to heathrow as you dont want to get there on the day and be let down.

Singapore airlines were great and I think you get more leg room than Quantas (Mindyou it was a BIG plane not sure the actual specification) Singapore airlines give you drinks all the way and dont charge for them !! (Well they did in November)

    Good luck
