E457 Visa With 18yo Son?????

Hi All....

I'm currently living & working in Adelaide with my 17yo son....

He will turn 18 in a few months and I’m trying to find out if he will still be covered by my visa even though he becomes 'independent' in the eyes of immigration??

He loves it here and intends to study @ uni here when he leaves school.... What are his options regarding the visa situation...

If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated...

I think, open to be corrected, if he's studying and dependant on you for shelter, food and clothing etc nothing will change he will still be under your visa.

Hi Latitude,

If you apply for 457 before your son turns 18 then he will be covered by your visa.
