A great big thank you to Greg and Lisa for a smashing evening and meal down at your place last night.

We thoroughly enjoyed it ( and Lisa's cooking) .

    :D:D:D

I have amended this in case anyone took offense in regard to mentioning but not naming another forum

hI, i hope you don't mind me interrupting... well tough if you do!!:P

Just wondering ,do you find yourself cooking the good old traditional british food, roasts, toad in the hole etc..? or has your cooking sty-lee change since you have moved over there?? apart from the obvious barbies are there any other true blue ozzie dishes??

Bit of a lame question i know but you guys got me thinking!!( a very dangerous thing for me to do !)

i am off to grab a biccie now coz i have made myself hungry with this food talk!

ta for any answer sorry to hijack Tyke!

Well we have just had a traditional roast beef dinner with Yorkshires.

Just the weather for it at the moment.

We eat all sorts and I cannot say that our tastes have changed that much.

We probably eat more meat here because it's cheaper.

Not many BBQ's this time of year either.

Saying that I'm doing one next week come hell or sharp frost.;);)

Glad you had a good night! Can't see the problem with saying thank you myself - its nice to hear about people meeting up with other folk they have met on various forums.

No probs mentioning other lesser forums on here as the is no competition. ;)

Interesting on the food front. Its something I'd never even considered. :)

We find we are eating more meat over here, more fruit and more juice (along with more wine of course :o).

Still cook same sort of things we used to in UK - last night was a mixture of Thai, Indian and Vietnamese ;). We do find the freezer is now stocked with meat etc rather than processed food which is the main difference for us.
