Alternative to Bramley Apples?

Recommended Posts

Used Granny Smiths to make a crumble tonight and it is just not the same! Can you actually get Bramley apples here? Haven't seen any and I have been looking. Apple crumble is a big fave in our house - anyone have a solution?

Thanks ;)

There are Bramley apples because I saw a website for them a guy at Adelaide University had written a disertation on I believe on them. I believe there is an applie association in South Australia, so many different apples are grown here, would seem to me I would try calling Urbrae College or Roseworthy, they may be able to put you in the right direction and who knows you may start a new following for someone who has an apple that has been struggling to get out there here in Oz.

Hey let us know how you get on.

That must have been an exciting read :biglaugh:

Thanks though - I'm sure I could find something if I really looked into it. It is something I will get round to eventually!
