Hubby's bday - need ideas for day out!

    Recommended Posts

    Hi everyone,

My husband's bday is on the long weekend at the beginning of June. Can anyone suggest a nice day out for us and the kids that he'll enjoy? The kids are all little so it needs to be buggy friendly and interesting for them too. They are all boys so I don't mind if I tag along on a 'lads day', lol.

    Thanks!

    Hmm, with kids in tow............

Cleland for kangaroo feeding and koala cuddling (good too for pics to send home to the UK) followed by relaxed lunch at Red Poles in McLaren Vale which has sufficient space for kids to run about and music at the weekend.

    OR

Dolphin spotting cruise on Port River at Port Adelaide followed by AFL Football but you might not be able to stay for the entire match if kids (or you!) get a bit bored

    OR

Bike Riding in the parklands and Popeye cruise on the Torrens river

Happy Birthday Mark ......... sorry but now you have a winter(y) birthday ... say she with some glee as after years of chilly February birthdays (some with snow) the only thing chilly now on my birthday are the drinks.

Gorge Wildlife Park at Cudlee Creek is also lovely and everyone will love cuddling a koala.

How about a winter walk and picnic at Morialta Reserve? There's a buggy friendly path up to the first falls, which should be flowing well at that time of year (fingers crossed) then free barbecues in the park at the bottom and you could cook up some hot snags!

Also that time of year (more end of June though for the winter solstice) don't forget the fireworks up at Mylor!
