One of the things that I have heard about the HC R12 school is that it was too slow in responding to the influx of students from the UK and allowed situations to develop such as an us vs them mentality

My son, Adelaide-born with English parents, went to the R-12 for 2 years before moving elsewhere, and his circle of friends included Australian and British kids - still does. So no support for that theory there.
