Rubbish title I know, but I borrowed the Stephanie Alexander Cook's Companion book from a friend last week and it's a great book, a bit like an Australian Mrs Beeton. Full of everything you might need to know and what to do with those new veggies - it's not cheap but it's going on my birthday list.
