I have just spoken with our agent at Migrating Solutions and he says that DIAC are taking around 3 months to assign case officers. Our visa was submitted on the 21st of december 2010 therefore we should have our case officer around March/April. He then expects it to take another2 months to process meds and police checks. He then said if he was a betting man he would put money on our visas been being completed by June.

Now I am just hoping his predictions are correct and not just telling me just twhat we want to here.

HOPE this information helps all of you that are sat waiting like myself for the email with CO ASSIGNED.

Good luck to all.

PS IF ANYONE REQUIRES ANY BUILDING OR PAVING work PLEASE PUT IT OFF UNTIL I ARRIVE, MATES RATES FOR POMS IN ADELAIDE MEMBERS.

All the best Trev, Vicki and Lauren.

Hi Trev. That's great news as we submitted our application on 09/11/10. Have found myself getting slightly obsessed with checking my e-mails etc! How did you visit go over christmas? Did you have a look around Port Noarlunga etc?

We applied for the 176 in august2010 and we didn't get in this round of case officer assignments. The diac have assured me however that we should be assigned in the next few weeks- will believe it when I see it lol!!hopefully things will start moving quickly for everyone very soon, but there are people on here who applied back in 2009 and are still waiting so we'll see!!! :-)

Hope all goes well for you, nothing seems to move fast in Australia maybe thats what we like about being there.

I have noticed you live in Aldinga how long does it take you to get to the cbd, as we have been looking at houses there.

The idea being to have a house within walking distance of the beach. if the currency exchange stays as it is though we may end up with caravan in the bush.

Hope you get your visa soon.

Good luck Trev, Vicki and Lauren.

Hi Trevor, it takes about an hour to get to the CBD a bit less with the expressway on your side. Housing is a lot cheaper down here due to it being a far south suburb but we love it here! :-) good luck with everything x

Thanks for the reply, we will have to a good look round when we eventually arrive.

We have looked at a couple of areas around Aldinga we also fancy Noarlunga.

I seem to find myself going to the email box every morning expecting to find CO assigned, but not to be so far.

I dont know how we will react when we eventually get one.

All the best.
