Provisional licence for 17 year old

Hi there,

 

My son just recently turned 17. We haven't sent away for his UK provisional driving licence but now I'm wondering maybe is we should hurry up and do it so he has it when we get to Adelaide. Or do you think we should wait and set it up there? i.e an Australian licence?

 

I've got a feeling it might be cheaper to wait till we're there.. but can't remember if I read that or not.

I have passed my test since being in oz, pointless bringing UK provisional as you start on a learners and then progress to your P plates.
