Agreed, I have also been made aware of August 2018 grants. The 22 to 23 months is a stat based on some grants that take long due to resubmitted documents or applications not completed properly
Disagree..take me as an example
i applied May 2018 contacted for medical for my son last week !
because you can’t create a HAP ID
thanks

Waiting time was 1-1.5 years those days in 2016. for 489 it was only 1.5 months to receive the EOI.
But I regret it too because 189 is way too much better
if you don’t come on residency to Australia ..you will face a very hard time in all aspects

I applied in May 2018 and no contact yet, already submitted complaint. Sorry guys I normally stay positive but recently promotion pass by and I am really upset that I cannot get that job because it’s a permanent position and my visa is not eligible for the role. I am still on a contract. I have no word to describe this government. I don’t wanna sound negative but I really hate my current job and that’s why I am so upset we are stuck and have no choice. Don’t be affected by my emotion we will be fine one day...I understand you
I am stuck at this regional area which innate
it is sooo hot 🥵 we have been here 3.5 years and we are so isolated

Hi,
As per my understanding, you have to wait for passport before updating immigration. If you update first even then they will require passport to issue visa.
No you have to give a passport so the baby can have the same visa you have

How old is your Son, And where did he born- I mean which country.
If he is less than 6 months, you donot need to get BUPA medical done. Get a letter from your GP that He/She examined your baby and found is good health condition.
There must be E-medical concent form as well. If yes sign and send both documents to the same email id.
Once they will receive it, Health examination status for your child will be updated.
Thanks
He is 2 years and he was born in Australia
yes I read something about if he 6 months or less but I think that when you are already applied
but on our case when we applied he was already a year of age

Hi Adam,
Thank you.
My application first showed no health examination required, but when they contacted me they created a HAP is. I know other people on this forum requested for them to created one through the complaints form online, maybe do that. I can't say 100%, but I think that all children need to have medicals done, under 6months is just a gp letter, but after that it is full medical as we have done for 489.
i have received the HAP ID for my son
where shall I go and what shall I do
please

@Bern83 Congratulations
just a question please
i have a son born here and he was granted the 489 so he is on 489 now as we are
they haven’t send me any health examination to be done or any HAP ID created
please advise and what do you think
knowing that I have applied on May 2018 and first contact was on 11-6-19 and nothing after that

Rencently we only have a few grant, on 20th September many applicants received email from immigration said that applications will be allocated shortly. Mostly they give applicants 28 days to lodge documents, so I guess that new applications may be viewed around 20th October or at the beginning of November.
According to our tracker, the last two grant were granted to backlogs files. Maybe now they focus on dealing with backlogs files, after that new files will starting.
I am from 11-5-18

Understand and hugging, mate. It's really ridiculous. They are like playing monkeys, and they might have more lies. Remember ....last year, they were on holiday a half year then Christmas , then at the beginning of this year, lower volume....???! And then they talked to everyone that processing case by case.....and then they talked to media big amount is waiting ,more than 8,000 applicants.....and then said many of applicant are not eligible yet before submitted ..... and then mail actions on Sep - Nov mates....and then on Holiday again.....
I am so tired of waiting
I don’t know what to say it is I am surprised about Lots of things here as we came to transparency system and new place to start our life at
I said it and I will keep saying that I am really lost
I approached a lot of my friends lawyers and they told they don’t understand what is going in the Dept

That’s correct mate. Undoubtedly we are getting struck for longer time around 18-20 months. Many people in this forum are not interested in time delays they are more eager in baby medical, English requirement , centre link benefit and so on. If you have any suggestions let us know even we can go legal way by paying money from our pocket.
Honestly I am so lost
I have so many plans waiting and depending on this decision
I can say that today I am 17 months of waiting which never happened for 887 before in general
so frustrated and I do not know what to do
-

Immigration is not processing 887, they stuck on something else. We have huge backlog, it has to be cleared up. Increasing processing time will not help anyway, waiting line is getting bigger and bigger. October stared nothing happening, immigration will not processing any application between Mid December to Mid February. Don't know what's gonna happen.
They don’t care
