    Residency

Since 13 June 2015 to 03 October 2017, I have lived only 709 days in Australia, that was my biggest worry. In first year I was out for 4 months however, I have overstayed 4 additional months to compensate. In 2nd year I was away 21 days on annual paid leaves but I didn't stayed additional 21 days to compensate that.

And I was stayed with my relations for 1 month and I only had bank account opening letter and TFN opening letter to prove their address. So I have attached a statutory declaration written by me.

Other than that attached 2 tenancy agreements, Water, electricity and gas bills and history downloaded from online utility accounts, a tenant history and payment summary from real estate agent (I requested one from them), full 2 years bank statements,

    Employment

My employment was straight forward and I have attached my full time employment agreement, all Pay slips I had (i am getting paid monthly), Bank statements, Increment letters and bonus letters :D, superannuation statements for 2 years, PAYG statements, Notices of Tax Assessments.

    Husband's English

Attached his 3 year degree transcript and certificate, his full time employment agreements and CPA member certificate. Also I have attached his expired IELTS certificate as well.

    Character

Form 80 for me and form 1221 for husband, AFP for both of us and new PCC from my home country because we visited home during 2 years.

    Notification of incorrect answer

And I have notified them about incorrect answers during Nov 2017 after they have contacted Avi and asked him to move family members from non-accompanying to other.

Other than that identification documents such as passports, drivers licence and birth certificates.

Hope this will helpful to anyone who are in same situation.

I wish everyone direct grants and once again thank you all for hanging around and helping.

Congrats Bunny! No passport size photos needed?

Just checked it, while booking at BUPA, it never asks for any Specialist's report. Just follow the link i have provided.

Moreover, have you created HAP ID for your daughter already? As you will need HAP ID wile booking with BUPA, and on your DIBP HAP ID letter it should only show "501 Medical Examination" & you will just need to select 501 when doing booking with BUPA.

For some of the regional areas, it will tell you to directly call the Medical center (Bupa Approved) to make booking time. the link will provide you contact details.

    Hi HeyMate,

I’ve got her referral letter already, as you said only 501 medical examination needed. But there is a list on the letter asked to take to the appointment. Please see the attached, the 3rd item...

Hello Sharky, you can do medical for any of your family member including your daughter by logging into your online immi account. Then you have to click on New Application > Health > My Health Declaration. You can only do medicals yourself before submitting visa application only.

When filling up "My health declaration" you just need to put yourself as primary applicant and then in the field of "Accompanying family Member" just add your daughter. Do not need to add any other family member there. Then just submit.

After that just click on your daughter's name > organise health examination> fill up medical history > it will create HAP ID just for your daughter.

Then you call bupa, book appointment and they will do her regular check up. No x-ray or no blood test.

Moreover, you do not have to create HAP ID for yourself or do not have to do any medical for yourself, just leave that as it is.

After doing medical for your daughter, log into your e-medical and download e-medical completed sheet which will have her picture and status will say completed. > Then you just upload this with your visa application.

Hope this helps. Ask me if you have any other question. :)

    Hi Heymate,

I’m booking an appointment with BUPA but I don’t know what “ specialist’s report” is. How can I get it? It seems a must for the medical.

    Hi Sharky,

You are right, you can do your daughter's medical in advance as I did for my daughter.

Just a question, don't you have my proof like emails/booking confirmation with start date/payment receipts for your AIR BnB stay? Or can you get a letter from them even email from Air BnB to prove? Sorry, just out of curiosity. Because I also know the pain of waiting :) .

    Hi HeyMate,

No, I don’t. Actually, I only booked two weeks via airbnb and paid cash for the rest...:) Anyway, thanks for asking. Hope you good lucks!

    Hi Sharky,

Congrats on your daughter's grant. I'm happy for you mate. Unfortunately, you can't generate a HAP ID for your daughter under the 887. Only your assigned CO can do that for you and that will be about 3-4 months (according to current trend) after you have submitted your application. If you have met the 2 years residency and 1 year working experience, then I suggest you submit your application asap and upload all adequate docs you currently have. When your utility bill becomes available in March, then you can just upload it. If you apply now, it is likely you might not be assigned a CO until May/June and that CO might request for medicals for your daughter. Another month or two of waiting. The earlier you submit your application, the better. Otherwise you might be looking at next year.

Hi alexoir, many thanks for your suggestion!

I understand the medicals for my daughter is inevitable, and I got the information from HeyMate that I could finish it before I lodged the 887application. I think this costs much less time than leaving it to CO.

The other concern why I’d like to do it in March is that I spent the first 2 months with a local family via Airbnb. Unfortunately, I don’t have any utility bill as proof for the period. But I can get all the solid proof in early March.I don’t want to make any uncertainty, so I might as well give up the first 2 months.

Take both of them into account, I think early March might be suitable...:)

Thanks again and all the best wishes!

Hi Sharky, good you got daughter 489 visa.  Can I know you already applied 887 and when did you applied? Thanks

    Thanks Tsep,

No, not yet. I’m going to finish my daughter’s health examination first, then come up with the application. Besides, I need a latest utility bill as solid proof for residency.  It will be early March.

    Hi Sharky,

It seems your daughter has been processed and you might get a mail from home affairs within the week. Some people have reported that the email sometimes delays by a day or two. Be checking your junk mail as well....you might not know. To be 100% certain, you can verify your daughter's visa grant using

    https://online.immi.gov.au/evo/firstParty?actionType=query

You could use your Transaction Reference Number which is the same for every member of your family.

    Cheers...

    Hi alexoir,

Finally, i received my daughter’s 489 grant letter today. Now I can arrange her health examination for visa 887 in advance... Really really appreciate your help! And all the best wishes!

    Hi Sharky,

Read my earlier comment on your question. Since your daughter was born onshore, you did the right thing by posting the required docs. I assume you added Form 1022. However 489 visas for new borns onshore are processed in Adelaide. I went through what you're going through last year. And it's free.

    Cheers

    Hi alexoir,

I did what you guided one week ago and found my daughter was added into my last finalised application for 489 today. But there is no same description “granted” for her as what the others of the family got. And i haven’t got any email from the mimi department yet. Is this OK? I just uploaded the copies of her birth certificate and passport in case the department need to check them again...

    Thanks for your reply!

    Hello all,

How are you? I am from Bangladesh, currently living in Queensland.

Been a silent follower of this forum for a long time. But, today I am breaking my silence because as per the 2017 trend, decision ready files were being finalized by 3 month, and all of a sudden they got a speed breaker somewhere on the road and now seems like they are driving on a School Zone :)

Anyway, we deserve this waiting because I think maybe this is the memory we will re-call when we will become Aussie Mates :D .

Just wanted to join with you all to share and spend time where we can express out feelings.

    My timeline below:

03/Nov/207: e-Medical completed for the my daughter born in Australia (489 visa already granted in June 2017)

06/Nov/2017: Applied for 887 visa. (Decision Ready Application)

Grant: ???? Maybe sometime next year ???

Hi mate, you mean only your daughter got medical examination done individually? Could you please show me how to finish it without you main applicant involved? I’d like to do it for my 8-month-old daughter soon. Really appreciate it!

No definately not mine was done from overseas $3500/- something, since my newborn was offshore.

But onshore can all process from same, not sure about $$$$ , i called immigration before i leave australia and he adviced under new visa application, there is 489 and under 489 it's called 489 subsequent entrant, once u select that, it will ask who is it for, and how thry relate to main applicant.

Again since mine was offshore, i could be wrong, i would better suggest calling immigration and check with them, since evrythng is online, i would rather surprise to see if anyone still has to go through post and wait for long.

Hi aug17, thanks for your reply. I understand now why we got different process to follow. My daughter was born in Australia and your daughter was born offshore, which leads to two different ways.Just like alexoir described. All the best wishes!

Yes I got Medicare immediately after applying for 887. Just print out your bridging visas and submit them plus your passports to a Medicare processing centre in person. I suggest you take your whole family along since all applicants over 18 will be required to sign. It takes less than half hour for you to be processed. They give you immediate Medicare printouts  that you can use right away. You receive the hard cards by post in about 2 weeks.

Thank you alexoir! Really appreciate your guidance!  I’ll post all the docs tomorrow to Adelaide.

I am sorry as i might be wrong here, but why we are posting docs ?
I lodged for my new born daughter online from my account immi account, attach all docs and get visa quick, now we applied 887 and got medicare for all 3 of us.
Would that be not quick rather than posting?
I am not sure if that's what the query is about

Hi aug17, do you mean you got your daughter’s visa 489 via your immiaccount? I was told it should be done via post. Confused! Could you please show me the process? Is it free?

    Hi Tsep,

How did you get your daughter’s visa 489? And how soon? I mailed the required documents to the immi department office located in Sydney for the application of my 6-month-old daughter’s visa 489 last November coz my family live in NSW with visa489, but still no any response yet. I’m very annoyed because i can’t apply for 887 without that done. Have no idea of what to do...

    Please kindly respond. Many thanks!

    Hi Sharky,

I had a similar problem last Septermer when I posted my new born daughter's document to Brisbane because I'm in regional Queensland. I called DIBP after 4 weeks of no response and a very nice gentleman assisted me.  He advised me that 489 is processed by the team in Adelaide SA. If you send your docs to any other city, they'd have to forward them to Adelaide to be processed and this can take ages. I therefore printed a new set of documents (I had retained soft copies), added a cover letter explaining my situation and addressed the letter to:

GSM Team 10 (489 visa processing office)

    DIBP ( Now Home Affairs)

    GPO Box 2399

    Adelaide SA 5001

I tracked my letter which was delivered to them the following day. 7 days after delivery, tadaa.....489 was issued to my daughter and we applied for 887 that same day and got medicare the following day. There's no time to waste???

Thank you so much alexoir !! I’ll do it as what you guided asap. Did you get medicare just after you came up with the application for 887? That’s pretty good.

Thanks again and all the best wishes!

    Hi Sharky,

after I got her passport I applied for her visa and told them I am going to go holiday overseas.

    They sent the visa faster.

HAP ID could be done any time.

You could apply from your immi account.

    Hi Nima,

Did you get your HAP ID after you submitted the application for health examination? I didn’t click “submit application” coz i’m not going to do it right now. And i haven’t yet seen anything about HAP ID in the process.

    Please kindly response.

Statutory Declaration (I shared accommodation for some time)

    Bank Statements

    TFN communication, AFP communication

    Rental agreement/ ledger

    Utility bills (Electricy and gas)

    hi rags,

Same as you, i shared the accommodation with a local family for the first 2 months after i arrived in australia. So nothing can prove my stay but the statutory declaration and one letter for my TFN. Do you think that is enough as proof for the stay? Please kindly response.

    Thanks!

    Hi everybody,

    I got my PR today.

    Applied on September 1st.

    Direct grant.

My daughter was born in Australia.

    she is 15 months old.

I applied for HAP before the Co asks.

    Good luck

    Hi Nima,

How long did it take for your daughter to get the 489 visa? I mailed the paperwork to DIBP for my six-month-old daughter’s 489 visa two weeks ago but still no response yet. This is why I haven’t lodge the application for 887 visa. In addition, did you applied for HAP after your submitting the 887 application? Is there any link for it after the submission?

    Thanks!
