  1. Guys, when having a close look at my documents, i see that my name is minced and used, with all possible combinations and permutations. Can a statutory declaration mentioning all these names are me do? I turned a blind eye at that time. Can anyone please suggest what should i do convince a co who will pick up file?

I was using “Vivien” for alias name, but people from work spell this name with few variations like Vivian, vivienne etc. my linked in has been inactive for many years, my personal email has vivien in it, but CO was specific requesting to include Vivian (with ‘an’ but not ‘en’)as alias name. and I was using a agent so all correspondence goes in agent email instead of mine personal email. After all this, they stilled discovered me was using an alias name.🤔🤔

oh one thing forgot to say, my work email is with my legal name too. That alias name of my is really an unofficial name and buried deep down🙃

  4. Now i foresee whats coming up for me. Guys, my full name as per passport, visa, employment proofs, proof of age card, drivers license, police clearance overseas n here, superanuation, utility bills, are all the same. Just that my bank has my first name n last name and ATO have ommitted out one part of my name. In such a scenario whats best suggestion? Statutory declaration? Or approach bank n ato. But those will.show the updated name henceforth, what about those records already in my the application 😢?

  5. These are sheer time buying strategies. All of us got smart in placing updated AFP so the only option for now is this.

Btw if we have to place "THE CERTIFIED COPY OF WORK DOCS" how do we do that? I, like any others have placed the original payslips (generated by the company itself, so authentic payslips) in my application. What further certification is needed? Statutory declaration? Now an afraid that they will ask CERTFIED COPY OF EVERYTHING😢

I think they won’t do anything on 887 until or few weeks before election. More priority for citizenship than 887.😞

Dont think even thats processing faster. From the fastest Visitor visa (5 days processing time,  now 1.5 months) to a simple DCSI clearance with max 3 weeks now moved to 6, clearly shows how slow n lethargic it is.

That's true. We are in Townsville (North QLD) and had serious flood this year in February. After flood, life has become more terrible in current house. There is mould every where. Honey bees have made nest in between roof and ceiling. Honey bees frequently entered into our house and bite us. We tried to change the house but no one is agreed to accept us as a tenant  due to almost finishing visa 489 (on July 3rd, 2019) and property owners/ real estate agents don't recognize Bridging Visa. Already there is shortage of rented accommodations here after flood. We are forced to live in current property only. Sometimes, we really want to cry and it feels like committed a big mistake by coming to Australia on provisional visa. Don't know when God will listen us.

If u write an email with proofs; pics of ur house condition to immi will that help?

Hi - i wont be able to help you with the status but regarding the Uni; I have done multiple research as my daughter is in year 12 and will be applying for Uni this year for 2020. I have been told by few Universities that if you have applied for PR and are very close to getting it they might even take my daughter as domestic student. They suggested that she can apply this year under International student and as soon as we get PR they will move her to domestic but surely will consider her application to begin with as domestic student. So whereas i hope and pray that you get PR before admissions but surely do get in touch with colleges/Uni where you are intending to apply. All the best!

My situation; child joined in uni when on 489, complete 3 sems, n applied for pr/887 a year before, very close to grant date (perhaps) still unisa says that after consensus date no changes are applied. Atleast from fees perspective. I am paupered now, coz even for this sem i have to pay international fee. Sad story. Nobody is empathetic. We are minting machines.

To extend the processing times (from 8-10 to 12-14 and now to 15-16 months) without reason or justification is a serious abuse (of authority and discretion).

They cannot change the rules of the game (as regards waiting period) in the middle of the game. That's unfair!

They should always bear in mind that their service Charter, like the Australian Public Service Values, are intended to facilitate the delivery of service to those whom it is due without unnecessary expense and waste of time, for truly, fairness delayed is fairness denied.

Totally agree with you. Its high time we all come together n plan out some strategy to speak out. Unless our voice reach them, nothing is gonna happen. None that we have done so far seems to have reached them. Shout out aloud, guys. We arent asking for anything wrong, so don't hesitate to come out. Make a move.

Yeah, I asked them what do this ("Low volume of applicant)" mean on the website. They said there are uncountable files so we are not sure what time they will be processed. I said its very very confusing statement on the website. These guys are so rude in response.

    So, just wait?

Hi All Seniors, I would really appreciate if someone can guide me with below 3 questions -

    1. I need to rent an apartment in Adelaide and I have heard that We need to have some points to get a rented apartment, so how many points do we need and how do I manage to get them?

    2. What are the documents I need to get a rented apartment apart from points?

    3. What are the best websites/options to search a rented apartment in South Australia(specifically Adelaide)?

Thank you in advance for your time:)

    You need 100 points.

Realestate Domain are the two apps that will help u find a house.

Not that this is not a right place for such questions, but you will get responses suiting to such needs in Indians in Adelaide group in FB. Please post your query there too. Cheers....
