  1. Hi All,

Recently got parents medical assessment request for 804, lodged 3 years back.

Question— Has anyone got rejected in the initial medical assessment or it is just to check if TB or any other communicable disease is there or not ?

2.) Can diabetes(controlled) be an issue for rejection ? Do they even check it in the request.

They have BP(controlled one) and my mother had breast cancer (25 years ago, she was assessed earlier as well and was granted visitor visa), My concern is there a chance they can fail this initial medical test, Have you seen any forum where such incident has happened or this initial assessment is just to check if any communicable disease is there or not like HIV,TB etc .

    Hi guys,

I submitted 887 visa application in Aug 2019. I and my son have been always onshore so far. My wife and daughter are offshore now. Their BVB visa has expired due to not being able to come back to Oz during covid-19 travel restriction. The last update from DHA in regards to s56 Request for More Information was on Oct 2020. I have not heard anything from them since then other than received the 3rd interim Medicare card. I have been desperate for the approval of the visa or even refusal since we suffer a lot from family separation. Would DHA consider my case as low priority since part of the members are offshore, which may lead to travel risk? Is there any way I can talk to DHA about this and get an update? I am really really frustrated and struggling. Appreciated it if anybody can advise me how I can handle this situation. TIA

Did you get the grant or still waiting ?

    follow visa condition 8539.

    Hi X76804,

Please refrain from posting incorrect things it may harm the visa holder who does not have full knowledge. You are correct about the visa condition but when a commitment letter is signed with an RDA, the case becomes different,  you are in breach of the agreement you have with your RDA and they can take action on the basis of this( see the email response from NT, they clearly refer to the commitment letter)

Hello, can you msge to me please. Thank you.

Hi Darwin i have not specifically added anything in the msg. When you sign a commitment letter you need to honour it. In case you get a job in other regional area then you have to convince them to allow you to go, but i believe it does not stand a chance against the commitment letter u have signed(they may question your intent and cancel the visa as NT has the lowest unemployment rate always) and with the above  msg NT has cleared their position , you are at mercy of the department

    Hello, Can you suggest please.

I am on 489 NT and have no job for 4 monthes in NT, can I apply to other reagional areas by my visa grant and work there, is going to be counted for 887 or I need to be back to NT and do unfilled period?

    Thanks

I am really surprise that you came to Aus without reading about your conditions. Yes you can go to any regional area. If you want to play safe take a release letter or inform your RDA office that you are going to another regional area.

Yes, you are correct. Nomination are not managed by Department of Homeaffair, and it is by State Governments. So you should not be worried.

Yups that is what I thought nomination rejection does not matter, if it would have been the case then I would not have been granted the 489 visa as there also we fill form 80 and 1221

You must mention it in your application, no harm to declare everything. If you choose not to do so,  you may be in big trouble and get PIC 4020 due to provide misleading information in favor of your application  to the department. They have all our records, we cannot hide anything.

    Hi Mangau,

Thanks for the reply, but where do I provide this information because they ask for visa refusal not for nomination refusal. I was refused a nomination to apply for a visa not a refusal after applying for a visa . Also when I applied for 489 visa afterwards, there also I never mentioned in form 80 and 1221 that I got refusal of visa to any country which included Aus as well.

The form 80 and 1221 clearly states in one of their questions if the visa is refused but my visa was never refused as I did not got any email from DOHA or DIBP for refusal of visa or any ban was imposed.

  9. Hi guys I have another question

I am about to apply 887 visa and my first application nomination from regional state for 489 was refused (NSW form r) due to my agent fault. the regional immigration officer deemed the assessment as unsuccessful and asked me to lodge a new assessment form with new fees which ultimately got sucessful , and then I filled the form 80 and 1221, submitted my visa fees and got my 489 visa

so basically my invitation to apply for a subclass 489 was unsuccessful.

so should this be considered as a visa refusal case and do i need to mention while applying 887 visa

    Please guide me on this

It does not matter as long as you have rental agreement with you.
All utility bills are only supportive documents.

Hi Sam, Thanks for replying, My rental agreement has not been renewed since June 2020 and as per the agreement if there is not notice landlord or me of eviction then it will automatically turned into periodic lease.

Should I get a new agreement . Also I will have electricity bill under my name still.

  11. Hi Guys, I have one question, I need help

My owner recently asked me to transfer gas bill under his name. He wanted to have it immediately, I will be applying for 887 visa in the next 4 months .

I have the electricity connection and gas bill under my name. My worry is that immigration might ask me why I have  stopped paying the gas bill .

    Will it be a problem.

    Same company.

But it doesn't matter. I agree with what everyone suggested. As long as you have worked for 12 months (including paid annual leave) and you can provide payslips, PAYG etc. You don't have to worry about anything

    Thanks for the reply.

is there anyone in the thread who has been in my condition. I have few questions to ask.

  13. 9 minutes ago, SamOS said:

Also, in addition to what everyone has said, add your tax returns too. In my case, the payslips alone wasn't enough. My CO requested for PAYG Summary, Income Tax statements from ATO amongst other proof I met the 1 year criteria.

That I will add. I already thought about it. It is just I was confused with the continuous work requirement

Did you also worked continuously or worked in between

  14. 2 minutes ago, TAS887 said:

When you apply for 887 just put all pay slips (11 months plus  say you work 5 months at new place) put all. This is for safety, so CO has no excuse to ask you for more docs.

I will do that . I even have the employment letter which mentions my end date and full time work.

It was just i was bit worried if it needs to be continuous or it can be ok like this as well.

Also If i take a paid leave then will the week gets counted

  15. 2 minutes ago, rsnnlcnns said:

No it doesn't need to be continuous. As long as you have accumulated a total of 12 months you should be good.

In my case I worked continuously for 11 months and 22 days and I am short of 8 days . And my next joining is on 1st september. So I will complete that condition in the next company. I thought it needs to be continuous and one more thing if a person takes a paid leave does that day also get counted

  16. Guys I have one question.

It may have been asked many times.I tried to search but could not find in the thread.Apologies for asking again.

Does the 1 year work needs to be continuous. I mean if you work on a contract job for 4 months and then for 1 month you do not get job and then you start working for another 7 months and then jobless for another 1 month and so on

    Does it needs to continuous.

    ********************Good News ******************

I got Pre-Grant Email today because my family is stuck offshore  due to Covid-19 and this is the very first contact Department has made to me regarding this case.

    Application applied 1st September 2018

    family of Four

everything was up to date like PCC and everything

Last complaint was on Five days ago.

Thank You and best of luck to all of you for your Files.

    Hi ,

congratulations, when you say pre grant that means you are stuck

overseas, so that means after applying 887 you can go outside australia and they wont deny to give you PR. I mean you dont have to be specifically in Australia in those processing times, You are required only when they give decision and in case if you are outside australia they will give pre grant and inform you to come to Australia

I would suggest to get consultation from MARA agent. Technically you are complying with visa conditions but with few cases on blog , CO’s had objected if more time spent outside australia and asked to justify intentions towards long term commitment to settle in Australia.

Do you know of such blogs , can you share the link please.I will consult the mara agents

To apply 887 you should be in regional/ designated area for two years & full time employment of 1 year out of 4 years ... As long as you are meeting these conditions and not moved to metropolitan with 489 .. I believe there should not b issue...

Thanks Amitb and what about the other question .Do I need to stay here after lodging my 887 visa ?

Can I go back to my home country, will my application still be process and when they will provide the result will they let me know that I have to come first to hear the outcome or they will just put my application on hold and not progress at all without informing me .I know we have to update them that we are leaving but will they tell us to come when they are about to tell us the outcome.

Guys my question might be unrelated to current situation but i have few question.

Before lodging the 887 visa do we need to remain in 2 years continuously in regional area. What I meant is That i stayed for 1 year and completed the work condition in regional area  and then went back to my home country due to some urgent work and came back after 2 years and spent the remaining 1 year in regional area which satisfy my 2 year stay.

Am i eligible for applying 887 visa ?

My second question is after applying 887 visa

Can I go back to my home country, will my application still be process and when they will provide the result will they let me know that I have to come first to hear the outcome or they will just put my application on hold and not progress at all without informing me .I know we have to update them that we are leaving but will they tell us to come when they are about to tell us a decision

Can anyone please help me by answering my query.
