Hi All,
Any idea if 489 visa holders have any work rights in New Zealand? If not, is there a pathway for 489 visa holders to live and work in New Zealand?
Thanks in advance.

hi mate
can you share more details of how you changed your region?
Like, how long you have to wait to request a change? do we have to show any valid reason to change area or we can simply request to move some other regional area? can we ask to get a different area to live straight away when we get grant of 489?
I too have the same query about changing the region. Did you get an affirmative YES from Orana that you can go ahead and change the state/region? What reasons you gave in your email? Can this be done in case of other states (e.g. QLD) as well?
Thanks.

I was reading an article on Australia Immigration Law Services (MARA Consultant) about 489 visa. In the article, they have mentioned that while we are on a bridging visa after our 489 is expired and awaiting 887 outcomes, we are allowed to live and work anywhere in Australia including Sydney and Melbourne as there is no condition attached to the bridging visa. Is this correct?
Following are the excerpts from the post:
"The Bridging visa for the 887 application has no conditions attached so you are free to work and live wherever you like. However, whilst your 489 still exists the BVA for the 887 will not have taken effect so you are still restricted to your visa conditions."
Hi All,
Any thoughts on my query?
Thanks.

Yeah. That's the article I was referring to. Can anybody confirm if it is correct that we can move anywhere on bridging visa?
