    Hi everyone,

That is also one of my question if we really need to submit IELTS for 887 visa, and if yes, for my case I am studying my masters degree here in Australia, can I use that as a proof for functional english instead of IELTS, just want to clarify what has said in the immi website?

Thanks in advance for any help

    Kind Regards

There are many ways to prove it without giving IELTS or other exam.

If you have finished the study in Australia, upload certificates along with mark sheets. (I think you need to finish the study to prove it. not sure about it.)

Since you are pursuing the master degree I assume you already have a Bachelor degree.

If the medium of the instruction for that course was in English then get the Language certificate from that university. and upload it along with degree certificate and mark sheets. (I did this.)

    Hi everyone ,

I had submitted my visa 887 in 01Apr2021 . While I attached documents to Myimmi account , I could not find any areas for attached IELTS certificate.

887 does not requires Functional English per Gov website 's information but some people in this forum said CO required it. I confuse.

When I get 489 visa , they required minimum IELTS 6.5 for skilled assessment but now only Functional English for 887 visa? kind of downgrade in English.

     Kind regards

Functional English is required as per immi website:
    Page: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/skilled-regional-887#Eligibility

Search text: Have this level of English language
Functional English is the minimum requirement.

Here are the ways to prove it:

Hi Guys, I have one question, I need help

My owner recently asked me to transfer gas bill under his name. He wanted to have it immediately, I will be applying for 887 visa in the next 4 months .

I have the electricity connection and gas bill under my name. My worry is that immigration might ask me why I have  stopped paying the gas bill .

     Will it be a problem.

It does not matter as long as you have rental agreement with you.
All utility bills are only supportive documents.

This one could since it is on website of  Parliament of Australia and not on generic org site.
I believe this is backed by an Australian MP or Parliament member.

    Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum so please be gentle.

I am currently on 489-Family sponsored visa since Feb 2017(expiry-Feb2021), got married overseas(India) in December2019 and my wife's 489 subsequent visa was approved in NOV-2020.

My wife has never been to Australia but I am going to apply for 887 visa with myself as primary applicant and my my wife as secondary applicant.

Will it be enough if i provide Phonebills, Bank/Credit card statements and Driver's licence as a proof of residence as i am living with my sisters family since 2014 and dont have my name printed/added on Rental agreement or any utility bills(Elec & Gas).? Please advise.

    Regards,

    Mohammed.

For rental proof you can make a STATUTORY DECLARATION.

    Hi all,

I think I have asked about this, but I was very much worried about this,so I am posting it again..

Super is supposed pay like monthly,quarterly,weekly..but my employer paid one year of super(almost one and half year) all at once..does it make a problem..

    Please suggest me

Nope. It does not matter as long as you have amount credited in your super.

hi seniors, can anybody advice me on this.

i am gathering my residence proof for my 2 years stay and realized 2 months of missing utility bills which i couldn't get it again, since i switched my provider.

i have all 22 bills except 2 in-between the months. do i need to submit all 24 month bills proof or can i submit 22 bills which is showing it covered the all 24 month period.

    thanks

It's fine to not have only 2 months of bills. I assume you have other residence proof with you like rent agreement.
Note: You can login to your utility provider website to download the bills or call them to send you a copy, OR most of the utility providers do send bills on e-mail where you can search.

    Hi there,

I have a question regarding citizenship application with regards to dates and wonder if anyone can help me with it..

    First Entry (on 489): 18th May 2017

    Left: 26th May 2017

Second Entry (moved permanently): 2nd April 2018

    PR Granted: 22nd Sept 2020

As of 22nd Sept 2021, I will have stayed 1 year on PR and as I first entered in May 2017, I will have crossed 4 years since first entry... and less that 1 year outside from first entry...

Can I apply on 22nd Sept 2020 or do I have to wait for 4 years from date of permanent movement?

Secondly, If let's say a within a 4 year duration, a person has been out of the country for 1 year and 12 days.... can he apply for citizenship after 4 years and 12 days or does he have to do one more year?

    thanks!!

Hi friends. I am in a situation and want to know your thoughts and suggestions as I can see there are many helpful and knowledgeable people in this forum. I have applied in March 2020 and I am pretty confident to say that I have provided sufficient documents as evidences as in multiple proofs for a requirement wherever possible) and I am waiting on my Indian PCC to arrive.

I was the primary applicant for 487 and so am for 887 visa. I have provided university letter for my spouse as a proof of functional English. I have provided my employer letter as proof of functional English for myself and I am trying to get in touch with my college in India to get the letter but no one is answering the numbers they have on site. Probably because of the fact the they are closed due to COVD-19. What should I do? I have uploaded my IELTS results from March 2017 and all my degree marksheets that are in English and no other language on them. Will these documents be sufficient?

I can’t accept that fact that I have to spend another 400 bucks on IELTS.

I believe anyone from your family can visit the college or university to do that. Even any of your friends can also.

Mostly they need your signed application letter, all mark sheets and degree certificate to issue the certificate.
