    Hi everyone,

So I did the test last week (I rescheduled mine and got an appointment a week earlier than originally given). I passed and the whole thing was done in about 25 minutes (including the interview)!!! Does anyone know how long after passing the test, do you get notification of when the ceremony is?

    Applied: 23 May

    Test: 15 July

    Thanks.

SO we have to do test and Interview?

    Hi all,

My question relates to the residency requirements when going from a 489 visa to an 887 visa.

I received the bridging visa for my 489 on 18/06/19 and my full 489 visa on 06/01/20.
My bridging visa never became active as I received my full 489 visa before my 485 expired.

In this case, will I be eligible for the 887 anytime after 18/06/21 or do I have to wait till 06/01/22 to apply for my 887?
I have read elsewhere that the 2 year residency timeline starts from when the bridging visa is granted, but what if my bridging visa was granted but never became active?

I have already met the 1 year working requirement (have been working FT since 06/01/2020) and have been residing in a regional area since before my bridging visa was granted.

Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

    Thank you and kind regards

    Hi,

2 years from the date you got your ur 489 Visa. Regardless your Bridging is active or not.

So you will be eligible 06/01/222.

    Hi guys,

    please confirm

    1. Small query. while filing for 887 do we need to fill both Form 80 & Form 1221 for both primary & secondary applicants. or only form 80.

    2. Do we also need to fill Form 1281 - Australian Value statement.

    Please confirm ..

    Thanks

    Hi,

Fill in both form 80 and 1221 for both. Form 1221 is almost same but short. This is to save time later. If the Case office opens ur file and request for 1221 then u will be delayed by another 3 to 4 months.

    I don't think you need form 1281.

    Hi All,

I really need some help. I am about to apply for my 887 as I complete 2 years in regional however I travelled overseas (offshore) for 3 weeks (21 days). Is that ok or do I have to wait another 3 weeks before applying for my 887? I don't want to take any risk however waiting another 3 weeks would be a bit too long, so want some proof/confidence that 3 weeks overseas travel won't affect my 2 years residency period in Australia by people who have already received their 887 and were in a similar situation. Please please let me know guys. If somebody suggests that I should wait, please reply too.

    Thank You very much.

Hi, 4 weeks (28days) in one year is perfectly fine. Paid or Unpaid does not matter

Thanks @TAS887 I have my PTE which is now expired. Do you reckon I can still submit them as proof of English language. Otherwise, my degree certificates.

    Hi,

What are your scores and the date you got your result?

If you did study 2 years degree In Australia then you dont need IELTS as long as you are the primary applicant.

    Hello Wonderful community,

    Hope everyone are doing fine.

Could someone confirm below points for me.

1.Do we need to take health examinations for 887 visa.

    2. Could we use the same PTE/IELTS report used for 489 to 887.

    2. If my dependents are stuck overseas, could I still go ahead with my application process and include them in my application(As per COVID concessions)

    3. How long it takes for Indian embassy in Australia to process PCC request.

    HI,

    1) No you dont require Health Checkup; however, a very rare case CO may ask for it. But it is very rare.

    2) If your IELTS are valid. I think if they are more than 6 each then they are valid for 3 years.

    3) Not sure about Covid  concessions.

    4) At current time it take 2.5 to 4 months as they send PCC check in the city you put down in form.

    All the best

But I was wondering if the covid-19 concessions apply in this case? I applied on 887 on 17th October. (I am talking about the onshore 3 month concession, so isn't it 9 months of full-time work instead of 12?)

    Hi,

I have no Idea about the COVID exemptions. Would not be able to help you there.

    Hi Guys,

I have a query regarding overseas holyday time during these 2 years of stay for 887.

We arrived in 02/Sept/2018, got a full-time  job from 25/Oct/2018. But from 05/Oct/2019 - 03/November/2019 (29days )we went back to India for holydays. I applied for 887 on 17/October/2020.

So i have had my friends tell me I should have waited 2 more weeks and applied after 03/Nov/2020, but honestly when i applied i was under the impression that 4 weeks of annual leave is allowed per year when you apply for 887. Am I at wrong here. Thank you. I am getting too anxious now after learning about this 😞 !!

    HI,

Someone in this group had same issue read from page 2050 to 2120 u may find the case and could be helpful.

4 weeks means 28 days and you have 1 day extra. You may get away with it but cant be sure.

    What's up guys?

My time is getting closer and I started to prepare evidences now.

Just wondering How hell do I save or make all documents in a file.....

    also, Jp certified not needed?

    Thanks in advance guys.

Immi department clearly tells us :

    Scan of photograph

Scan or photograph all documents (English and non-English) in colour.

The scans and photos must be clear.

Note: You do not need to have any documents certified

If a document is more than 1 page, save it all as 1 file.

    hi,

    you dont need  Jp certified

and for photo just go to office works get hard copy on one photo turn it around and sign it and then put it next your other photo and scan it

thats what I did and it worked

hi am new to this forum ,

can somebody please enlighten me on below details.

// my wife is the primary applicant for 489 visa and i got a subsequent entrant visa,

i came to Australia first on 10th September 2018, after i settled in regional area my wife came and join me on December 10th .

i found a full time job at December 2018 till April 2019. and i got a casual job in my profession on April which is lead into full time started july 2019 and lasted until august 2020.

i know i have more than enough full time  payslips to fulfill the 1 year work requirements.

on the other hand my wife started full time job in her profession from feb 2019 till going on. she is also have fulfilled the working requirement.//

My question is we both visit to our home country during the entire month of December (left on 29th November and came back on 1st of January)

and i took the leave period as no pay since i accumulate only few days which not going to cover the entire month & my wife she took all available leaves on that period and the remaining as no-pay(to be exact less than 10 days) .

my question is can i apply now as primary applicant ? or do i have to wait until next 11th of October to cover that one month. or do we need to wait until my wife complete her 2 years resident requirement in December 10th or  she also need another month to cover her 1 month leave.

    your help much appreciated

    Thanks

    Hi,

from the knowledge I have I can suggest you the following; however, you may want to confirm this with someone.

As you wife was the primary applicant for 489 Visa and she came to Australia on 10 Dec 2018 so you 2 years complete on 10 Dec 2020 but,

as you were out of country for more than 28 Days you need to cover all those days; However; if you look at your travel date.

29th November 2019 to 10 December 2019 is 11 Days so you have less than 28 days for 1st year

10 DEC 2019 to 1 Jan 2020 for 2nd year is 20 days so you also have less than 28 days. So you may not need to cover those days.

You may want to confirm with an agent or you could write a letter of explanation  stating what I just said up about breakdown of your holidays and upload it in other Docs.

    good luck m8

  11. Hi all.

    image.png.ee83c1c3081a54738f293f01b6c8ce2c.png

Something I had requested before I got my grant. Just received an email.

    5230 Application Including Secondary application.

if we take an Average of 2.5 per application they still have about 2092 Application on hand or 3 per application 1743 applications

On of the reasons I asked for this information was that some of our friends requested information like this before and shared it with us.

When I was looking at that information it did not look right so I asked for total application on hand.

I do not think this information provided looks accurate or there is something they are not telling about. (This is my personal view)

Seniors if still active can put in their view to help.

    Hello Everyone!

Reaching out for some help. Had a quick question around Question No. 17, which requires address details for last 10 years on From 80

    1. I had made my first entry to Australia and had stayed for 2 weeks and went back to my home country. Do we include the address details of this short visit as well?

    2. When I made my permanent move, I landed in Melbourne, I again stayed in MEL for around 2 weeks because I had a job offer and had my initial orientation and training in MEL before we moved to Adelaide. Do I Include this hotel details in the address?

Both of these were short visits of 2 weeks each and I was not sure if the expectation is to include these short trips as well

Thanks for all the help in advance

    Regards

I does not cause any issue giving the details. better than being asked later.

Fill in the the details and if there is no space left put it in last qn where its says more info.

Can I attach a new file of the same type? E.g. passport photo I submitted an incorrect format to my agent (and she didn't correct me grrrrr). The passport photo that I submitted and is currently attached to my application is not full page meaning both photo and signature are on the same page and are very tiny. Or what is the protocol if there are incorrect attachment?

If you have space to upload you can just upload it. It is not a worry

See link to a pdf file bellow what documents we have provided.
IELTS was almost 3 years old but because of Superior English, it was accepted.
We updated all police checks just in case because the old ones were requested 6 months before moving to Australia and it says that it has to cover ALL time spent in that country. We didn’t want to take the risk and ordered new ones.
I cannot stress enough how important it is to request documents well ahead of your application. We requested AFP 1 month prior to lodgement and PCCs too. You want to make sure all documents are at all times up to date otherwise you risk a delay in your processing time. Do not wait for CO to contact you.
Also, name your documents properly, COs first scan your documents to check if something is missing and request based on the document names. Some people complained about COs requesting the same documents already provided in the application. So carefully name them and upload everything when you lodge is my advice.
Finally, update regularly especially in the case of a newborn and residency changes. Good luck to everyone, this group has helped a lot in clearing out uncertainty around the application process.

Right??? I am so annoyed. They lodged our application July 8 and seeing as there are June grants already, ours won't be long now probably next week and I'm still seeing these issues. They're also didn't reply when I sent additional documents like police checks, functional english and ATO documents last week. I ended up uploading these documents myself then I saw this issue with the 956 form. Paid more than 3 grand for this agent. 😤

    Damm 3k.

ya.. check all docs and upload if they have not.. Agents think few docs are enough. they dont think it better to put extra type of proofs just in case.

My agent didn't upload Form 956 Advice by a registered migration agent/exempt person of providing immigration assistance on our application (even though I sent them a signed copy of that document) ages ago. I imported my application and noticed that it's a recommended document. Will this have an effect? I'm tempted to just upload it myself. 😤

if you used an agent then it may be required but you better speak to you argent and ask him if it required in first place and make him/her upload it. Stupid agents they charge money and dont care once you pay them.. they are more interested in making new customers
