Received the following correspondence from Chief Minister office.
Thank you for writing to the Chief Minister the Hon. Michael Gunner MLA to raise your concerns in relation to the delays with the processing of subclass 887 visa applications. This has been passed on to us for response.
The Northern Territory Government understands the importance of providing our skilled overseas workers and their families with the security of long-term residency, and acknowledges the anxiety you are feeling over your pending visa application.
As you would understand, the administration of visa applications is the responsibility of the Australian Government through the Department of Home Affairs and the Territory Government has limited capacity to intervene in these matters. This department has made submissions to the Department of Home Affairs to advocate for faster processing times for subclass 887 visa applications.
Thank you again for taking the time to write to the Chief Minister, and we wish you the best.
that was the exact reply I got the last time and am still waiting from 1 Oct 2019

I have waiting since 15 months but no much response from case officers, I tried to follow-up and complaint as well but no response from their end. What should I do?
I’ve been receiving the same feedback from them. email your local Premier. if we all do it, perhaps it might get heard in Parliament or get some attention on all the backlogs that are ignored .

Yes count me in also please, heard nothing since 2/7, a follow up didn't work either.
Yes count me in, have been following up since the request on the 2nd of July . Would also like to check is the Form 956 required if I did the application myself ? Does everyone have it on their account even though it’s not required ?

I agree, so unfair.
we should all provide feedback on their immi feedback to request that they pick up all the old files . they gave us a time line of 28 days and then just ignore once the documents are uploaded .

GRANT GRANT GRANT!!!!
Such grant notification pains those who are still waiting especially with long waiting periods.
I don't want to hurt those waiting for grants but inspire and motivate them. Resilience, perseverance and patience are the virtues which you need to develop and hold on with faith.
For sure, Almighty is with the patient who do good, who are steadfast in their belief, who care and wish well for one another, forgives everyone, is generous towards needy and spreads love and peace. Remember! Life is a test and we need to get our real grant and pass by gaining satisfaction of our creator. Let's spread love, care and happiness.
I have 4 kids and like all, have been through sea of fire and perils to complete 2 yrs of stay with 1 yr of work in regional area. Did many menial, mediocre jobs, slogged a lot and finally applied for 887 on 28th May 2019. The wait of 887 grant has almost killed me and left deep scars of hopelessness, wait, disappointment and ambiguity. I have been waiting to see this day for sooooo long. Like all of you, I was also questioning the reason for delay, in despair, been depressed, checking immiaccount infinite times in a day, seeing announcements from those who got grants, who submitted almost a year (after I submitted) andgot grants. I was happy for them, but sad, that my prayers are not answered, prayed at last few hours of midnight, prostrated, cried many nights, recited many sacred words and dialects with prayers, felt struck... life was sinking, felt dejected, felt like venting out frustration and losing sanity. Nothing around was helping me to feel better and mind was always entangled in PR and it's adverse consequences (if I don't get). Had invested almost everything in my life for this PR, time, money, health, future and every element of my life.
What made me feel better is that there is someone up there who knows about you more that you do and wishes well for you 70 times more than your mother. So, I started trusting in Almighty TOTALLY.
Congratulations! it’s good to know that they are picking up the older files as well now . Enjoy your weekend !

I need help pls.
I applied on 2nd April 2019. So far I haven't received any information from CO. My status is still received. I haven't got my first contact.
I called, emailed and complained to Immigration Department. All answer is to ask me to wait. Mine is still under process time.
What can I do further? I feel very stressful and depressed when I saw so many applicants already got contacts from CO specially they applied far after me.
Thanks for everyone's help.
you should try and email your local MP, i’m also waiting since Oct 2019. that would hopefully give some voice to this delayed issue
