Is it Alex who met my hubby Ashley earlier this year? I am trying to track down a painter we met on a reccie from the UK but I have forgotten his username

Hi, I'm a painter/decorator, currently working on aqf3. I am coming to Adelaide in January/February for 2 week visit. I am looking to try and meet up with people who employ painters. If anyone knows anybody who may be interested please let me know. Would like to try and find out as much as I can in my short time there and possibly even meet potential employers. Thank you

& were building a new home (soon i

hope!!)

I like our view it's proximity to Brighton & beaches that way & south

My hubby Ashley has painted since the day we landed, very fortunate, thats 6 years on he now contracts to builders as a business & has around 6 -8 painters depending on experience & speed to work for us

We don't go on here as much but if we can help PM us when your here you can always drive to Ashleys site & he will give you some tips !!

Building is new to me !!

We brought some land in Hallett Cove - settled on the 20th Dec & have opted for Rivergum mainly due to their costs & experience in building balconies as our 2 story house has balconies at the front & back, we aren't building standard but have opted for the VISTA 310 plan with them but changed a number of things inside & out - mainly the exterior finish being brick veneer below & hebel/render above as we felt weatherboard would not suit the location & hubbys a painter so maintaining render is easy for him

So far we've paid the deposit & really not much more.....so being patient is a must.....which I am not very good at lol !!

They have said today that plans will be available next week (although we still have a no of changes since we saw them before Xmas !!) & I am still waiting on the engineers report which should be any day then Rivergum will fix the footings costs (imperative) when building as it can fluctuate tremendously if you require cut/fill & retaining which we need both....

I have 2 things for sale:

The Patio Heater is less than a year old, I brought it off here 2nd hand myself. I'd like $100 ono I have used it once or twice but I am downsizing to a smaller model so no longer need the full size one, excellent condition & great to have during the cooler months

2 seater sofa, excellent condition, $110 ono (sofa photographed in garage).

The uniform shop is excellent value for money, sadly when I tried to get what I needed there was very little in his size but definitely worth a try.

holiday, it cud apply for citizenship, I need to ask also as we arrived 5th sept but had 2 trips overseas.

We met a financial advisor recently about rental property investments....good foot in the door for us, negative gearing & all that, but you do have to think about it as house sales are slowing down but if in the right area for the right rental return, for us a long term investment plan/super ann. its a start
