Hi, we live in Sydney but my husband has been offered a job in Adelaide. My daughter is a fanatical rower and so we need to entice her to Adelaide with a good rowing school. She's 13 and not super academic. Any ideas anyone? Also any ideas of nice places to live by the sea in Adelaide? Which are the best suburbs pls? thanks

My daughter attends Scotch College & commenced rowing in year 7. She has just begun year 11 & is stroke in the first 8. Scotch have an excellent rowing club with ex Olympian Toby Lister as head of rowing.

I cant help you with suburbs by throw sea as we live in Hyde Park which is a good suburb but not by the sea. Scotch is an excellent school we have been there for 8 year's & are thrilled with the school.

Good Luck with your school & house hunting

Have a look at the schools and then determine location. Some are state schools, most are private. All of these schools are in nice areas, but not really by the sea, although it would only be a 20-30min drive. Some are very central, so could live in a western beach suburb (look at beach suburbs from Brighton to Tennyson / West Lakes) and bus into school easily. West Lakes is where the rowing comps are held.
