887 Processing time

Hi Friends,'

I am new on this page.

Need some information for my 887 visa.

Applied for 887 in Jan 2018

Case officer (Dat) allocated and asked for AFP with the name as per passport on 6/8/2018

Attached document (as per the requirement) on 14/8/2018

Now it still says under process.

What does it mean and how long they usually take after we submit the required documents?

Thanks

Hi @ronak, it can take anywhere from 1 to 8 months (even longer if you are unlucky). 🙂 This is the forum thread where you can find discussions regarding processing time and documents to be submitted, we'll be happy if you join us:

Also, we have launched a petition asking the Minister to take action to reduce processing times for 887, you can sign and share it if you agree with the content:

https://www.change.org/p/david-coleman-reduce-processing-time-for-887-pr-visa-to-7-months-for-90-of-applications

Good luck! 🙂
