Hi,

 

Arrived in Adelaide 5 months ago and still job hunting. Love the area. I'm an IT Trainer but able to do IT support or similar. I have tried lots of agencies and wondered if anyone had any advice, please? Currently doing voluntary work with IT basic skills and English as a foreign language..not ESL qualified. Thanks.

When you say you are an IT Trainer do you mean your experience is in systems training or training in packages such as Microsoft Word etc or MYOB for example?

Get yourself signed up with Hudson or Hays. We got here 8 weeks ago and i had interviews with both within a week of arriving. Both lined up interviews with clients but I took the first with Hudson and now in employment 2 weeks later.

 

I was an IT Helpdesk manager back in the UK, have dropped back to Helpdesk support and making good money.

Thanks, I'm already with Hays but will also try Hudson. Perhaps I'm not being keen enough! I believe I should be contacting them more often than I do!
