Probably best to arrive in lead up to June/July as mentioned previous. For IT work send off your CV to Hudson and Hayes etc... Both had lined up interviews for me for the first few weeks after arriving last year. Went with Hudson who got me a contracting job which has since become fulltime. We arrived last July. Good luck with the move when it comes.

We went with Bingle for car insurance, quite cgeap but have a standard $400 excess as I've just found out.

We went with Adam, $60 for 200gb. No complaints yet. Adam also linked to fetch tv as well. Haven't tried that yet.

Get yourself signed up with Hudson or Hays. We got here 8 weeks ago and i had interviews with both within a week of arriving. Both lined up interviews with clients but I took the first with Hudson and now in employment 2 weeks later. We were in the same boat, arrived 8 weeks ago and didn't send over any furniture. Got our bedroom stuff from ikea, sofas from Super A mart and dining table from Fantastic Furniture Got our fridge freezer and washing machine from Appliances Online. We brought our phones over and using amaysim. Pay as you go for $39.90 a month. It has a 4gb data limit. We use the phone as Santa through Google maps app. If you bring your phone get it unlocked before you leave

Hi there, We used Moneycorp to transfer our cash and didn't have any issues. I've read elsewhere on the forum that it may be worth setting up accounts with several companies and call them when looking to transfer money to check which is giving the best rate.
