  1. I would say you should do a complaint to IGIS. They are responsible for External security checks - they normally response within couple of days. As I said, there is no harm lodging a complaint and I did it 3 times. visit http://www.igis.gov.au/complaints/tips/tips_immigration.cfm before you lodge - it'll give you a better understanding.
  2. When was the last time you have lodged a complaint to IGIS? Lodging a complaint to IGIS doesn't heart. I had lodged 3 complaints to IGIS in 3 different time frame. 1st one was June 2014(1 yr after apply), 2nd was on Jan2015 and 3rd was Jun 2015.
  3. Hopefully you'll get yours soon.. I got it after exactly 2 years .. having said that, recently a lot of 2013 applicants are getting their approval, so yours are not that far I believe.
  4. Not just me, I have another friend who applied in July 2013 has received his grant letter today as well. Seems like they are working on the backlog seriously now.
  5. GOOD NEWS AlhamdulilAllah.. After 2 yrs and 3 days - our 887 visa has been granted. I have almost cried to see those grant letters. This is such a relief. Can't express how happy we are. Butterflies are flying in our stomach It was such a painful last 2 years. Wish all those 2013 applicants will get their's soon. Thanks to all forum members.
  6. Professional lawyer cannot do anything much in this case unless I withdraw current application and lodge something else 190 or so. Had a discussion with a senator and the senator raised this to the immigration department as well, but still not luck with that. Also, there are couple of other members in this forum are facing the same situation in the name of Security checks. This is freaking insane.
  7. Lodged my 1st complain to IGIS around July last year. 2nd one was Jan this year and last one was early last week. This time I had some issues lodging the complaint online, so emailed them the details - received an auto response that's it. No further response since then.
  8. Regarding 2013 applicants, we guys are way beyond our frustration - no mood to write anything It is exactly 2 years since I have applied for 887 - no news yet. Lodged complaint to IGIS for 3rd time - no response from them as well. Called Brisbane gsm team - they have said that every box has been ticked but did not let me know what causing the delay. This long wait is just sucks.
  9. Hi Sugarboy.. quick question, do you have any idea about estimated time frame of ESC completion? Even though I applied for 887 in Jun'13 but ESC was send to Jun'14. It has been almost 1 yr since ESC. very upsetting
  10. It read this article and it talks about Priority group 5 - are we on priority group 5? don't think so..
  11. Any news of 2013 applicants? In next 2 weeks, I'll be having my 2nd anniversary of application but unfortunately no news yet
  12. Thanks Sugarboy This is really insane and very frustrating. The waiting is more than 22 months for us since we have applied
  13. I called Brisbane centre, honestly those operators are pretty good and waiting is very less. They have advise me that my case was sent to ESC in Mid-2014. But when I have asked them what makes the delay for sending it to ESC (where I have applied in June'2013), they didn't have any answer
  14. Sorry for the confusion. I was initially granted with a BVA and then I had to travel overseas, so needed a BVB. Having said that, my BVA also had the same condition which is 8549. May be I am just too unlucky to have that condition attached.
  15. Unfortunately my Bridging Visa B has got a condition (8549) attached to it, which is a bit funny and it is not there for secondary applicants though. 8549 - Designated area: While the holder is in Australia, the holder must live, study and work only in a designated area of Australia. This means anywhere in Australia except in: Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong in New South Wales Brisbane metropolitan area in Queensland You can get the entire list of designated area in the below link: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/designated-areas.htm
