Moving 3 bed house contents

Hi, I know this has probably been asked loads of time, but can anyone give me a ball park idea of cost for packing up an average 3 bed home in Scotland (furniture only,no car), shipping and delivery to new home in Adelaide?

we know its worth negotiating so we'll get quotes, but think it would help if we had a rough idea what prices we could be looking at.

Average 3 bed house contents generally fits a sole use 20ft container which comes in around £4-4500. Although some companies quote a bit cheaper, others a bit more. Get plenty of quotes and compare etc.

We were quoted £3600 last year by 2 companies.

 

You maybe wondering why we got a quote so early and not moved............bloody house hasn't sold!!!!

 

Anyway, I reckon it'll have gone up a little but I would suggest you get 3-5 companies round and then haggle with them to get the lowest price possible.

We got a quote form angio pacific last year in Scotland for half a three bedroom house and there quote was £3500

Thanks so much for this everyone. We're just about to start getting quotes but it helps a lot to know what a ball park figure should be. I saw a post somewhere saying someone paid £9000, but perhaps I misinterpreted it, either way, your posts have been a relief!
