Would like to make some Adelaide friends

Hi All

 

We - myself, Antonia 35 and an Environmental Scientist, Lee 39 and a civil servant and our son, Dylan who is nearly 3, moved to Adelaide a couple of weeks ago and are almost settled- we have ordered our BBQ and have moved into our house in Norwood.

 

I start work on Monday - Eak! And am sure I will make friends that way, but we would really like to meet up with people outside work - so please message me if you fancy meeting up sometime.

Hi, we've recently moved into Norwood (William St) having arrived from the UK in March. We've got a 3 (soon to be 4) year old and a 5 year old, both girls. Funny enough, one of the first things we sorted out was the BBQ!! I work in the CBD and my wife is due to start work at the Wakefield Hospital in a couple of weeks.

 

Who will you be working for? I work for Aecom and we've got a fair sized environmental dept.

 

We'd be happy to meet up in a park and let the kids run riot for an hour or so one of these days.

Hi Antonia! Hope your new job is going well. I have a 3 year old son and a 1 year year old daughter. I'm 33 and work at Adelaide Uni 4 days a week in the CBD, but am around on Fridays or the weekends if you wanted to meet up. I've been here for 6 years now but am still keen to meet new people!

Hey All

Just an update - a couple of months into living in Adelaide. So far so good, I am settled-ish in my job and Lee has just got one, as a landscaper:) Dylan has a lovely nursery/ childcare to go to. And we have bought a kayak -can't wait for the weather to try it out.

 

We have made a few friends - but looking for a few more- We like the beach, BBQs, drinks and socialising, pretty laid back really - so if any of you fancy meeting new people -drop me a message.......

We live in Unley, soon to be Fullarton. We have a 3yr and 7yr old boys. I am a stay at home mum and Hubby works in CBD. Free to meet in parks most days / wkends.

Yay - Lee got a job! Congrats! Also, Steve says if you want to borrow the fridge Bunnings do ute hire by the hour.
