Lovely post though, Ceara. There are a few of us oldies here with grown-up kids. So many infact we decided to start getting together. We've had a couple of meet ups at West Beach Yacht / Sailing Club, organised by Mottie. So perhaps you, or your parents, could keep an eye out for those or simply look Mottie up on the members list and ask her.

 

In the meantime, the lovely and very generous Claire (user name Claire-n-tel) has a thread on here entitled 'BBQ Anyone'. They have invited everyone (sans kids lol) to their home in Glenelg on the 13th April for a BBQ. Maybe you could look at that thread?
