Hi Mark I have just joined a gym in the city near work but would def be up for a run along the beach sometime. I can probably run 8k in about an hour so not sure if that is any good for you. I've been in Largs Bay for about a year so might be able to give you a little bit of advice but still feel like I've only been here five mins myself!

I validated my provisional spouse visa with just a holiday within a year of it being granted and then I validated my permanent visa with another holiday, also within a year of it being granted I could then come and go for up to five years (I think).

Surely it just depends on the exchange rate whether things are cheaper or more expensive? I haven't been here very long and still can't help converting things back to how much it would cost in pounds.

Hi all I'm hopefully going to buy a house as as soon as I can, as at the moment I am living with the in-laws:wacko:, and I was wondering what sort of offers people were putting in in relation to the asking prices at the moment? I've seen a couple of websites that have said prices have gone down in SA and have also seen a couple of websites saying they have gone up! Has anyone bought a house recently and what sort of offer did you put in? Thanks in advance Lisa

Thanks Matt. I have to add I hate London. I thinks its rough, dirty and full of rude twits in suits (in central London anyway). If I were to stay in the UK I would like to live in a house in the middle of nowhere. I've visited Adelaide a few times now and personally I love it but having read a few of the posts on here I am beginning to wonder if I have my rose tinted glasses on (I hope not).

Hello eveyone I've not been on here for a while now but I've finally handed my notice in at work and booked our flights. We arrive on 5 April . I'm on a spouse visa. I work in London and have lived in London for most of my life. People keep telling me how laid back it is in Australia and how relaxed everyone is. Is that really the case, do you all feel much more relaxed since making the move? Where do people get that idea from? Do you think its from the TV shows like "Wanted Down Under"?
