  2. Just bumping this one up! Things were a bit up in the air there for a little while but we now have a new place to live so are breaking the lease on our current property which is now available from Tuesday November 9th. PM me if you're interested and I'll give you the agent's details. And there is an open this Saturday (23/10/2010) at 2.45pm
  3. Hi we currently live in a four bedroom house in the South Brighton area which we're considering breaking the lease on in the next month or two. At this moment, we still have 4 months left on the lease here but we're looking to move in the next month or two so if anyone is interested in it just pm me with dates etc you're looking to move. It's a good air conditioned house, solid brick, 4 bedrooms, nice big garden (lots of fruit trees - grapefruit, lime, apricots, oranges, apples) with undercover sitting area at the rear, massive lounge, laundry room and a modern kitchen with dishwasher. Main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and there is another bathroom and separate toilet, 3 of the 4 bedrooms have built in wardrobes. Large garage at the rear and car port (parking for about 4 or 5 cars!) Close to Marion Shopping Centre, the beach and primary & secondary schools. I have photos I can email if you're interested. Cheers Zoe

  5. You're very welcome Mrs Ingram! Happy to help and I have to say that this lady gives a mean massage...I have been in pain (lower back) since we got here. I've been visiting an osteopath once a week since January and nothing has changed pain wise. I went for a massage with Steph last friday - 2 days later completely pain free! Amazing!
  6. Just thought I'd let everyone know in case you're looking for an osteopath in the future that I went to see a very nice chap on monday called Martin Matthews (originally from the UK) and he is based on Greenhill Road just off Anzac Highway (quite near the city). After an initial consultation he treated my back and I have to go back on friday for further treatment but hopefully it should all be on the mend after that. Would definitely recommend this Osteopath. This is his website... http://www.bristolosteopath.com/p_osteopathy.html
  7. Thank you! I'll give them a call. My back is so sore
  8. Help! Does anyone have any contacts or know of a good Osteopath. I'm due for a seeing to on my back (it's really seizing up now) as I used to go to my osteopath in the UK every 6 months to keep on top of it. I'm in agony, please help Zoe x
  9. Ahhh! We were up there for boxing day and the day after...biscuits & wake boarding (I was a spectator with a bad back unfortunately) but we had a great time there...lovely!
  10. Came across this post as I was looking at ant bite stuff on the internet and google brought this up first... I was bitten this morning by one of those big suckers and my god my toe hurts. My fault probably for standing in the grassy area in my daughters school! I know it's not a spider bite because I remember looking down and seeing a big fella (ant) crawling on my foot so sure it's an ant bite. Got an ice pack on it now and it's helping to take the pain away. Z x
  11. Hi there I'm always up for a chat with other mums! We have a 5 year old daughter and an eight month old daughter. 5 short days until we leave!!! Will be in touch again once we've arrived. Zoe x
  12. Thanks for all the good info guys I kind of thought that being on a 475 I'd be classed as an international student but just wasn't sure as it doesn't state that on the flinders website. think i may have to wait until we have PR!!!
  13. Hey there JC wish I could train herebut we leave on the 27th October so not sure I'll be able to squeeze it in!
  14. Yeah, really scary. Keep getting panicky "Arghhhhh, what are we doing?" moments and then having moments of "oh everything will be fine, it'll all work out".
  15. I have toyed with the idea of re training for quite some time now and now it looks like I'm going to be doing it in Adelaide if I'm to do it at all. Does anyone know if the fees would be more on a 475 SS visa? Or should I wait until we are granted PR? 475 isn't PR but it's on the pathway to PR. I would be classed as a mature student I think, not sure if that makes any difference. I had a look at the Flinders website but it's not very clear. If anyone knows or has had experience with this kind of situation I'd love to hear from you. Thanks Zoe
  16. Sorry I can't help with the other points in your post but hopefully someone else can. Zoe
  17. My word, I haven't been on this here forum for a while. (edit - just realised that this is PIA not PIO!!! hehehe) It's now only 8 weeks on Tuesday until we leave and it kind of hit home tonight that yes we are indeed actually going. Up until now, I've been talking about the move to people but it's as if it's happening to someone else...kind of like an outer body experience. But it's finally sinking in almost 2 months after being approved for our visa that we are actually moving to Adelaide. Has anyone else felt like that? Getting a bit worried about where we're actually going to live when we arrive.
