I said how disappointed we were, as one of the reasons we applied was because it was advertised as pets permitted. ( again no response) I had to ask them to clean the carpets after we moved in, as they were dirty. I did state that they would be professionally cleaned at the end of the tenancy.

The owner may have chosen our application because we didn't have pets, which is fair enough it's his property. Just disappointed but it's a lesson learnt for next time.

I would just agree to it, how is anyone ever going to know where the dog goes ? if you are good tennants and keep a clean tidy home whats the differnce ? dogs kept outside all the time can be a nuiscience to other nieghbours anyway, they are part of the family not farm yard animals...

Persoally i think by saying just outside what they mean is any inside damage you will be charged for...

We are breaking our lease in Hallett Cove - Four bedroom, 2 bathroom single storey property with OCEAN VIEWS. Ample parking for four vehicles, large fully enclosed garden. We have been there for nearly 3 years and moving due to work relocation. Pet friendly (we have a golden retriever). Just had brand new boiler fitted and new carpet in main bedroom. We have been paying $465 a week and this includes water bills. Landlords are friendly and have not bothered with inspections while we have been there so you really can make it feel like your own home.

My advice is just get here all together into a furnished rental and then see for yourself what you want to do. Setting up home even in a rental is not cheap and you want your start to be as right as possible. You really DO need to see a house and its location, including what the neighbours houses look like. Its really quite easy once your here and got over your flight.

Hi I also has a 3 week trip back to Uk in April this and wold like to add my two pennies worth !

What shocked me on arrival was how fast and close cars travel. The amount of people everywhere. Having to queue to pay for everything !! Small homes, small rooms, cars parked half on path/road (forgot these things).

Plus I got sick with a dreadful cold. Yes it was lovely to see a few family & friends but after a few days of staying in peoples homes I just wanted to come home to Australia.

A lot more people smile in Oz than in UK. I didn't enjoy the shopping as much as I thought I would as Im used to where I go here in OZ now. The Uk seemed scruffier than I remember, lots of patched up roads etc.
