Hi @SukSim, how old is your baby  & was your baby born in Australia? I also have a baby who will be 1 years old while I apply 887 visa in Nov 2019 but my agent told me it is unlikely that we will be asked for babys medical test as she was born in Australia.

no mike, your agent is perfecly wrong, my baby was also born in australia but if they havnt dont medical at all, they will require before applying 887 ,

otherwise you have to suffer a lot time waste

How they are contacting you?? Did they call you or mail you??

And when you say , they ask for details, does that mean that your files is opened first time ??

    Grant! Grant! Grant!

We are silent follower and here is our timeline.

    Applied: 5 July 2018

    New born: 17 Aug 2018

We have requested HAID through feedback-  Suggestions and got it after a week.

We have submitted all new baby docs after a month

June 2019 - updated AFP and form 80 (we did not remove the old AFP and old form 80, instead we just add a new file -updated AFP and updated form 80, just to make sure they will not ask it again)

    Grant: 10 Sept 2019 - family of 4 - direct grant

    CO: Wilson

Please note we did submit a letter to them through feedback - suggestions last week to show our frustrations on the new processing time but in a respectful manner - not sure if it works or they just really processing the 13-14months.

    Thanks everyone in this forum.

    You are all a star!

    Good luck to all.

i have requested twice for HAP ID by same way , they didnt give it to me

    Hi all,

As it’s all frustrating and extremely annoying and the time increase today just tipped me over. I have complain through my migration agent today to GFU. And I called them before that as well. It is not acceptable and not fare. I applied on 19 feb 18. The first contact was on 24 June 19. Submitted all the requested docs. Heard nothing after that. I am 18+ months now and not going to wait for them to increase time frame again. I request all the applicants to send complaints through there local MPs. I will be looking into my legal options if they don’t reply or send a shity reply to satisfy our frustration.

did they ask you to prove, why you move late to regional area???

    Hello my 887 visa applicants.

I clearly don’t understand why people are so frustrated about the processing times. The immigration has made it very clear that it WILL take 12-15 months to process the 887 visa application. Although it is showing 16-17 months on the immi website. If people aren’t aware of the new regional visa 491, please google it. The requirement for that is the applicant musta stay in regional area for 3 years before he can make an application for PR. The immigration is clearly trying to imply this on 887 visa applicants to make us stay in regional areas for about 3 years. And they succeeded by increasing the processing times. A year wait will lead to bright future for rest of our lives in this beautiful country.

If someone is planning to buy a house, and waiting for 887 visa, hey, why don’t you guys keep on saving a bit more and you you can save not paying LMI.

If if someone is waiting to move to bigger cities for job opportunities, hey, why don’t you guys keep continuing your current job and keep shortlisting the companies you wanna apply for and also compare the cost of living in each METRO cities

If someone is waiting to get married? Hey, just get your partner in visitor visa and enjoy till you get the grant.

Just enjoy in this beautiful country as long as we are staying legally as there are many people awaiting for the invitation to apply permanent visa and we are waiting for the grant of permanent visa.

It would be batter if keep your thoughts for your life, because everyone does not have the flexibility like you. and all the things written above is just a result of convince what you have already, the real picture is totally different, its not as easy as you think.

    Better just don't comment

You get a statement from your insurance provider at the end of the financial year and that statement will indicate the amount that can be claimed. For tax purpose we are all resident but we need not to pay and Medicare levy.

YA  i know all that about medicare levy and stuff, i m just asking about rebate for the premiums you have paid for all year.. because i have claimed already in first year and i got call back form the ATO saying that you cant claim any insurance paid, till you are permanent residence,

They said that , if you are eligible for Medicare and you are paying medicare levy ,, and on top of that if there is any private medical insurance paid, will be eligible for rebate..

and they changed it form my Tax return by them self.

    Hi Sunny

No its not but always advisable to have insurance cover. You get rebate for premium paid in your tax return also

i m sorry, but we didn't get any rebate in tax return , i m filing it form last two years and they called me saying that you cant claim anything until you are on permanent residency...

you can get rebate or even it will be all back with tax return providing you are PERMANENT RESIDENCE

so if you have claimed and got rebate please share it , so every one can get benefit.

I recommend to follow what you did for your 489 visa if that is what you are currently having now. If your 489 had parents details , then you will need to match it.

But if you did declare in form 80, then you will need to match it up.

For myself, I just declare anyway from my very abstract logic, for the home affairs to monitor my family movement in case they try to cross the "Mexican wall"

To update your 887 application details, best to fill in notification of incorrect answers under immi account/ update details.

But good question. Why do we need to have parents details anyway?

    yes i agree with you.

They are it should not affect anything , but one thing i have observed is they are just pinning up in 887 visa, otherwise i just had my parents visitor visa approved in 10 working days and wonder thing is the photograph size , sign and some more things were not as per their requirement, even i was expecting CO to contact me but just got the visitor visa grant directly, without question.

i can understand that family visitor visa is different but if the documents still has that much important then why assessement is different from the same department...

anyways i think they just want to screw us...

You did the right thing by providing details of your wife and your kid in accompanying family members. 🙂 You also effectively supplied details of "other" family members in form 80.

I honestly do not know whether you have to (or even can) amend the online form in immiaccount to include your parents and siblings in "other" family members. Maybe someone else can advise? But most importantly you included people who are applying for visa (you, wife, kid) in the correct location. So, big tick! 🙂

    thanks for that

i think thats already enough information we provided to them, they should go through positively, without keeping negativity in mind.

    anyways thanks for your reply

  12. hi guys

i m not sure about providing family information, i dint write anything in details for OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS

is it required to put details of parents, as i wast sure at the time of application but i was looking some recent quotes and realize that.

can someone guide me what to do now, as i give the details of my wife and baby only.. in accompanying member of family...

Sorry dear. For sure they will generate HAPID for your baby. I am chasing them from last one month and requesting to generate HAPID to avoid any delay. But no response so far. You can call 131881 and check what they suggest you. Let me know as well.

    Thanks for info

will ask them and get back to you

  15. i have filled on 24th July 2018, with all the documents required for main and dependent applicant but i have a question for medical for my BABY ( 1 Year old).

She born here in Australia while on 489 visa, she has been granted 489 here but they didn't do the medical at that time, so i think they will ask for medical check up for baby.

is there any option to get grant directly if we submit any other documents form doctor, and dont want to wait for medical test and another 2 months to get grant??/
