  1. Full time vacancies with a great South Australian organisation. Very good rates of pay, 5 weeks holiday every nine months. Company vehicle, start and finish from home. Although it is shift work there is no midnight to 6 am requirement. All uniform and tools supplied. More than happy to speak with anyone back home that’s thinking of making a move, or anyone in Adelaide that wants to come and work for a great organisation. The RAA currently employ around 1200 people, in addition to providing great road service we also have insurance, travel, solar and trade assist. Our road service patrols carry out about 300,000 jobs on our members vehicles each year, we have a go rate (where we get the car going) of nearly 90%. On average the man in the yellow van will spend about 15 minutes driving to the broken down vehicle and 15 minutes carrying out the repair. I had 5 jobs in 5 years in the motor industry until I landed at RAA and I have been with them for the last 5 years. If you are moving over or already here and fed up with the daily grind of the workshop then please get in touch. Cheers. John.
  2. Sorry, I've not been online for a few days. I wasn't sure off the rules relating to posting links. The house is on Lexington Road and you can find it on realestate.com. There is a viewing set up today. Give the agent Rodney a call to see if there are any spaces left as there has been a lot of interest. thanks john
  3. Hi, sorry I have not been online for a few days. Unfortunately due to Australian letting laws I'm pretty sure you can't rent a property without viewing it, so you have to wait until you arrive to get the ball rolling. We stayed local and setup lots of viewings straight away. Henley beach and Henley South. Are both great areas as is West Beach the next superb south. We have stayed in Henley South and bought a house on the same road. When you arrive be prepared with references and bank (funds) details on hand. If you have room in your luggage make multiple copies so you can attach them to your rental applications. if you want to stay in any of the western suburbs be prepared to pay up to $600 per week, bargains do come up but they get snapped up really quickly, the great thing living here is the commute if you're working in the city as it's only about 20 minutes. There are loads of coffee shops, restaurants and most importantly a few decent bars We arrived on the 23rd June 2 years ago, be prepared for the weather as it pretty cool at that time of year and the sea breeze and rain can be harsh. Good luck with you're move. john
  4. Hi Guys We have finally took the plunge and bought a property and we are moving out of our rental at the end of May, it's a very nice 3 bedroom with a pool and nice garden. It has a huge undercover area, pool room, timber floors throughout. It's on Lexington Road in Henley Beach South. It's a great price and the best bit is our agent Rodney is a top guy who works hard to make sure everybody is happy. We have been here 18 months without any issues. Check out the property sites to have a look online John

  6. Hi, sorry not been on here for a while, if it's still available more info would be great thanks. John
  7. Thanks Diane, keeping the pooch in kennels longer is not really an option as he's part of the family. We'll just have to rent long term and pay a higher bond. We will have a month to sort it while he serves his sentence in Melbourne. Thanks again.
  8. Hi, we are finally making our move down under in June, as I have a job offer north of the city we are hoping to get a rental somewhere in the north west, If any one is breaking lease or has a property available for a couple of months we would appreciate a message. One thing to consider is our Black Labrador Max who will be joining us on the 19th July (his prison release date) He is one clean and incredibly well behaved pooch, however I know this can be a problem with rentals but we have no problem in increasing any bond required. We are popping down next week 12/02/12 to validate our visas and stopping in Adelaide City, Victor Harbor and West Beach for a total of 10 days. As we have never been to Australia before I am hoping we like it. Thanks John & Niki
