  1. We will be breaking lease on our lovely rental in sept as we have just bought a house The rental house is only 4 years old, fully modern and has a good size garden and auto door garage. 3 bedrooms, master with ensuite and walk in robe. All other bedrooms have built ins. Situated just off Goodwood road and close to shops, bus stop. 15 mins from city and very close to Mitcham shopping centre. Very quiet area with lovely neighbours. We currently pay $465 per week. Sad to leave it! Pm for pics/info.
  2. Where is pick up? Would be interested in the bedside tables.
  3. Hi if you are free on Tuesday morning I'd be happy to meet up at the Marion (coffee available!) or a park (no coffee!) near there with my 2.5 year old little boy
  4. Any recommendations would be appreciated! Domestic cleaning only thanks
  5. Well everyone seems to in the southern burbs so that makes location easy! How about somewhere halfway between goodwood and port noarlunga (two furthest points!) that would be around Christies beach? I'm not really familiar with cafes down that way so any suggestions? Must have good coffee and be open in the evenings!
  6. My other half is really interested! Off to find it in fbook now
  7. Any excuse to moan for some people eh Brian! Yes new books are expensive but the libraries are very good and so are the second hand book stores. Take your miserable attitude to someone else's thread! Thanks to everyone else I will keep you posted if we get things up and running good luck with the big move!
  8. I was lucky enough to be part of an amazing book group back in the uk and would love to be part of one again! The library organised one I tried was way too intense - I'm thinking more read a book, get together and chat about it and then gossip! It would prob be a weekday evening and we can decide location based on who is interested and where they live I'm pretty central so I'm not fussed! Any takers??!

  11. Thanks for the recommendations very helpful as always!!
  12. I'm pretty sure that to qualify as an SEN teacher you need to have a masters in SEN on top of your teaching qualifications. I'm a primary teacher and all 7 SEN teachers that I have worked withhad a masters but I could be wrong about it being a mandatory qualification. Australian sign language is used here (very similar to British but there are def some differences) so might be worth checking to see if your qualification is recognised. Good luck
  13. Hi I We want to make a will that details exactly what should happen to our son in the event that both my husband and i die (very morbid!) i need a lawyer that can draw up a will that is legal here and in the uk. It would cover custody as well as financial issues so im looking for any recommendations Sorry if this is in the wrong area -wasnt sure where to post it!
  14. We are going back to the uk for a holiday in June and have a confirmed bassinet seat with singapore airlines. I looked up the dimensions and it states that it is 76 cm long - my 7 month old is already 76cm so god only knows what height he will be by the time we fly! im now wondering if they will refuse to let us have the bassinet as he quite possibly wont fit in it lying down. it would be really handy to keep it even if he doesnt sleep in it as you get extra legroom and its a little contained space for him to play. Has anyone experienced this? Im beginning to really stress that we should book him his own seat as the thought of having a 12kg, super tall baby on our knees for 13 hours is horrific!! Im also fairly certain that he will sleep well in it as he curls up into a little ball (even when he has lots of space to move around). So i suppose im asking has anyone had the bassinet refused because their baby is too tall and what was the flight like? Thanks!
  15. sorry the bed sold last week. Hope you find another soon

  19. I have a bassinett and a baby playmat for anyone who needs it or knows of a charity that would have use for it. The bassinett was given to us by friends and we only used it for two weeks with our bub. It is in great condition. The play mat was a cheap one we picked up from ikea. Perfect condition as our baby outgrew it quickly! We are moving house in a week so if you want it please take it quickly!!
  20. it is really depressing!! not celebrated very much here but you can do all the fun things like ahve parties, etc in your house and invite the local kids or kids from school. Trick or treating isnt very common but if you get to know the families on your street then you can sound out the situation. Def not as big a celebration as in teh uk and adults very rarely dress up
