    Hi all,

I think I have asked about this, but I was very much worried about this,so I am posting it again..

Super is supposed pay like monthly,quarterly,weekly..but my employer paid one year of super(almost one and half year) all at once..does it make a problem..

    Please suggest me

By law, Superannuation has to be paid at least every 3 months, into the employee's nominated account.

    Hello all,

sorry for late update..., 27 months of long waiting was ended..., got our grant on 05/01/2021.

    applied: 09/10/2018,

CO 1st contact : 12/2019, submitted AFP and waiting...,

we have to visit IND on emergency in March 14 and stuck with travel ban till November.

CO 2nd contact: 07/05/2020 asked for Indian PCC, in India there was a lockdown between so many struggles got PCC and submitted.

18/06/2020 received Pre-grant notification, as we know temporary residents not allowed unless we have exemption and valid visa. So, I applied for exemption with Pre grant and received exemption in first attempt in August first week but by that time my 489 visa got expired in last week of July again I have to apply for visitors visa and with the help of pre grant and exemption got visitors visa in 10 days.

by end of August we have valid visa and pre grant and exemption but can’t secure flight tickets till November 07 in Vande Bharat mission.

at last we ( me & my wife) are back but again have to wait all November, December and till January 05 to get grant from Pre grant.

In addition, while we stuck in india our rental property lease got ended in August and owner wants to renovate that property so my friends helped to vacate it put our belongings in there houses, after we completed quarantine on 23/11/2020 till date am searching for rentals and still we didn’t secure any lease coz we lost our jobs too.

because of COVID-19 it took another 10 months for our grant otherwise I would be getting my grant when first CO contacted us.

this is our long and sad story ended in 27 months.

Once again am so sorry for late update as am busy in searching rental property and job.

this forum helped me a lot with updates about 887.

    thank you all.

    Ramu.

Congratulations Ramu. You have had a sad and prolonged story, but happy ending! All the best to your next journey.

Hi guys i m waiting from februry 2018 but not grant yet...already complaind  so many times..pls help me what i do now???

    Hi Mandy,

Case Officer will not just delay your application for no reason. They must have found something that they need to clarify or verify. I don't mean it's your mistake but confusion may happen subconsciously when answering some questions in the visa application form or adverse information might be fed by a third party agency.

How many "Request for Information"  from the Department have you received so far?

    Hi,

i have confused with two different advices given by two migration agents

In order to apply for 887 visa, do i have to wait two years from the date 489 visa granted ? or

or shall i include my bridging visa A timeframe as long as i complete the residential and work requirements ?

If you are onshore since the day you had your 489 granted - then it is 2 years from that date (assuming that you have not left Australia for a significant portion of your stay during the 2 years).

Thank you so much again sir,

I haven't got chance to update form 1229 i was about to do that today but

    The good news is, this morning they have issued my baby 489 visa , granted BVA for 887 application, added baby to my 887 application and asked additional doucument;

    # signed e-medical consent form

    # Report or letter from GP/Obstetrician/ Paediatrician.

I opened immi and my application status shows Received.

Now final question is does this mean all other document is okey?

    PS: I have applied 887 on 8 Nov 2020Screenshot_20201127-132559_Gmail.thumb.jpg.3bc0c3840c34d5e8c10f9e0aa1adb889.jpgScreenshot_20201127-132559_Gmail.thumb.jpg.3bc0c3840c34d5e8c10f9e0aa1adb889.jpg

Look good for now. You continue with the passport registration for the baby and update the passport detail through your immi acc when it is available.

Ok i will upload that.. so i have done my part now baby is legal even though she doesn't have 489 visa or bridging visa associated with 887 visa.. Isn't it?

Thank you sir for your time in replying me..

You've done your part. If the Case Officer need additional evidence or require you to provide anything else, they will issue issue a letter with a checklist of items to provide.

    Thank you so much...

    FIRSTLY

I have emailed baby's birth certificate and form 1022 to skilled.support@homeaffair.gov.au and in email i mentioned current visa i am holding (ie.489 visa) and told them i have lodged 887 visa..

    THEN

Went to my 887 application through immi and notified change in circumstance  form 1022 through immi account and updated form 80..

Please let me know if this is this the right way?

Now my concern is, Its been a week i haven't received reply of email.. As per info from this forum, i should get baby 489 very quickly first..(maybe within week).

Thank you i hope i will get reply from experts.

    TIA

On top of what you've done, you may update form 1229 as well.

Getting a response from a Case Officer is at the discretion of the assessing officer. The timing of when your case file will be picked up and reviewed again depends on the priority of the Department at the time. Basically cant say for sure when your baby will be granted 489. What is a sure thing is they will assess it sooner or later.

Be patient and you'll get there soon. Good luck.

Thank you for reply. But I would like to know what will happen after requesting IELTS? Does it mean that the other documents have been accepted and CA have already been satisfied with them?

All other docs have been accepted subject to review. Mostly likely they are ok with them, unless adverse information is found from other sources.

    Hi all,

I have applied for 887 visa on May 8th 2020 and CA requested IELTS from me and my wife as well as form 1221 and resume only from my wife on Sep 25th. Is everyone here have had the same experience? What will happen next?

Why do they want form 1221 and resume from my wife while she is not main applicant?

Case Officer needs to satisfy themself with additional info as requested. Provide all they request and wait patiently for a grant.  Good luck.

Thank you so much for taking your valuable time. So, i don't have to apply 489 of baby if i update those forms? If case officer doesn't open file, baby won't be illegal?

    Thank you

When parents are both temporary residents – holding, for example, a Temporary Skilled work visa, or Student Visa – or a

certain Provisional visa, such as a Subclass 489 Designated Area Provisional – the baby is deemed by operation of law to

hold the same visa as the parent at the time of birth. While you don’t need to actually make application for the baby’s

visa, you MUST notify the Department of Immigration as soon as the baby’s documents are available – birth certiScate

and overseas passport – so that the visa can be attached to the child’s passport.

    Hi all

This group has been very helpful in gaining information. I have one important question. I am on 489 now and eligible to apply 887 tomorrow but my wife is pregnant and baby is due in 1 week. Shall i wait till baby is born or lodge application before? I am very confused.

    Please suggest me

1). Lodge 887 as soon as you are eligible so that you can advance some processing time in the queue

2). Once the baby is born - notify the department by inform them of the change in your circumstances

3). Register a birth certificate and passport for your new-born baby as soon as practicable. Chances are passport take long time to get one.

4). Update all relevant forms (80, 1221, 1229) - by including the child in them

Then wait patiently for a case officer to add the baby into your file. The baby will be granted a 489 first once the case officer satisfies he meets all visa conditions for the grant of 489.

Then, the whole family will be considered for 887.  Good luck!

    Hi all,

Thank you for your help and support.

I have a question please, can i apply for 489 and 887 visa for a new born with birth certificate only without passport?

We are on 489 and we will apply for 887 in April, we are expecting a new born next month, so i will need to apply for 489 for the baby and after a little while i will need to apply for 887, the problem is obtaining passport from mother country as currently there is no diplomatic pouches and all passport applications are on hold.

    Thank you

Which country are you from please?

    Hi everyone,

Congratulation to all who get there grant today.

    I applied for 887 visas Oct 2018,

upload: change in circumstance( about the relationship)

first contact: Jan 2020 (ask police check)

After that no response, still waiting for the decision.
Please advise me, should I have to make a complaint. My Lawyer told me there is no need for a complaint about this stage.

    Thank you

Were you a primary applicant for both 489 and 887 ?

My best guess is that "your change in relationship status" - slow down the processing time your application.

887.321 The applicant continues to be a member of the family unit of a person who, having satisfied the primary criteria, is the holder of a Subclass 887 visa.

    Hi Seniors @nudgee@sha_adelaide

Appreciate your advice on a query I have.

I applied for the 887 visa approximately a month back as primary applicant with my wife as secondary applicant. Through reading this forum I understand that proving functional English is now a requirement for 887.

I already completed IELTS on 15/04/2016 as it was a requirement for the 489 visa. I managed to score an overall score of 8.0 (9 for Listening, 8.5 Reading, 8 for writing and  for speaking)

I spoke to my agent who lodged both my 489 and 887 visa. He is adamant that functional English is not a requirement for the 887 visa as it has already been verified at the time of applying for 489 visa. I even when to the extent of explaining to him that functional English shows as a eligibility requirement for 887 visa on the DHA website. However he still maintains that it is only asked from certain 887 applicants who are currently on other visa's which functional English was not verified at the time of applying for those visa's.

Unfortunately I have not completed any course with a duration of 2 years with the medium of study as English. I completed my masters outside of Australia with the medium of studies as English. However this was for a duration of 1.5 years.

My wife has studied in Australia for approximately 4 years. However, since she is the secondary applicant I am not sure if this is relevant. Further her certificates were not submitted as a part of 887 visa application.

I am now wondering if I should sit for the IELTS exam again and re submit fresh results or if I should go by advice of agent and not complete IELTS. Appreciate your guidance.

    Cheers

Regardless of the advice from your agent, you are still in a good hand if you prepare evidence of functional english (at least) and ask the agent to upload it to in your case file. there may be chance that your agent has not been updated or informed of the new functional english requirement.
