Hi all, I am an AAT qualified Finance Officer with experience working for the government and my husband is an FLT driver. Does anyone know of any recruitment agencies that recruit from overseas? We want to look for a job before we arrive in Adelaide but the recruitment agencies I have contacted have told me we can only apply for jobs once we have arrived. We are looking to move to the Adelaide Hills/Mount Barker area but are willing to travel to the CBD to work. Thanks

Hi all, We are moving to Adelaide in July and we are trying to work out roughly what our finances would be. We are a family of 5, we are looking for a 3 or 4 bedroomed house to rent. Could someone tell us roughly how much our outgoings would be for utilities for the summer and winter months just so we could get some idea of what to expect? Many thanks.

Hi all, Just wanted some advice on housing. We have just sold our house and the person buying it has agreed for us to stay in the property and rent it from her until we move to Australia in January. How easy is it to find short term furnished accommodation in the Adelaide Hills area? This is something we would need to look into as our furniture would not arrive until much later than we will. Before we got together 14 years ago he had girlfriends in short term relationships but they didn't ever live together. As they were never 'de facto' relationships do they really need to be listed? Hi all, Just a piece of advice really. In the UK my husband is a forklift truck driver/warehouse operative and I am an AAT qualified finance officer who has previous experience in government finance. Are these types of jobs easy to come by in the Adelaide area? Is it easy to find jobs in Adelaide? Hi all! Our family are moving to Adelaide next year and after some research have decided that we would like to settle in Adelaide Hills. The town we have looked at in detail is Bridgewater. What do people think of this area? Are there any other areas/towns which may be of interest to look at? Are there any areas to avoid? We have been doing some research on the internet and came across Bridgewater and other surrounding suburbs and Bridgewater seemed the sort of area we wanted to live in and raise our 3 children. The schools had an excellent write-up, it's not too far from Adelaide (but far enough away) There is reasonable house prices to rent, it has all the amenities we need. Overall it just seems like a really nice picturesque area to start out new life!
