Hello all I have applied for 190 visa. I now need to speak to DIBP to bring something to their attention. I called 131881 and stayed onlne for over 1 hour but no one responded. Is anyone here able to suggest best way to contact the departemnt either by phone or email. Thanks and regards Taran

Hopefully we'll get direct grants. on another forum I read that many people who lodged in early august got they visas in less than 2 months. We might be lucky too. Cheers

Hello peeps I thought of starting this thread so that we can support each other through this process. We applied for 190 visa on 24/09/2015. We have finished uploading all the documents including PCC, medicals etc. Now, we are waiting patiently. Anyone else here who has recently applied for 190 visa? Thanks and Regards Taran

Hi peeps The EOI which we lodged summed up to 70 points which included claiming 5 points from overseas skilled work. Now, I am thinking not to claim these 5 points due to the hassle of requesting employment references from old employers especially one of them have moved on to being self employed and doesn't work for that job anymore. Do you think it can be detrimental to our visa application if I don't attach overseas employment references. According to the immigration website, I should attach evidence of all 70 points. I am concerned about this now. I am eagerly waiting to hear your opinions. Thanks and Regards' Taran

My visa is not expiring or being cancelled. My visa is valid until 2016 but job contract is not being renewed due to organisation cutting funding. I need to look for another employer who is willing to sponsor me within 3 months. I hope i am I am able to find one.. cheers taran

Hi blossom- my job contract is coming to an end. We are not going to be eligible for holiday maker visa due to age and kids. I am a physiotherapist in the process of sorting out full registration. I do realise that I need another job within 3 months. I have looking at immi website to see if we can apply for another visa but not sure if we have any other option excerpt study visa. Cheers taran

Hi everyone Its almost been a year since we arrived in Awesome Adelaide. Its been a really really fun year and its gone too quick. We are still loving it here but have started missing family n friends in London more than what we used to when we first arrived. Our daughter is loving every bit of her new way of life in Adelaide and absolutely loves her school to bits. We have started house hunting close to where we live and hoping to find something pretty soon as our rental lease finishes in Oct 2013. We are looking in Flagstaff hill/Aberfoyle Park area. The natural beauty in Adelaide still amazes us and we are really grateful for all the beautiful experiences we are having. Cheers Taran

Hello Lovely people This is first year in Australia so haven't got experience in lodging tax return. Can you please recommend a reliable tax agent who will help us in getting a fat check from tax office:biglaugh:. Some people suggested at work that its very easy to lodge it yourself but I think that we might not know on the things we can claim for. All suggestions are welcome. Cheers Taran

Hello Lovely people Got a query and please give your feed back /advice.. We have received speeding ticket for hubby in post today. They have advised that we need to pay fine and demerit points might apply. The query is that hubby stills has got his uk licence so what does licence authority do about demerit points for uk licence holders? Another query do having speeding points on the licence affect out insurance premium? Any feedback is appreciated.. Thanks for your time guys. Taran
