  1. For any fellow Scots who could do with a wee reminder of your homeland, I have just driven past Para Hills Community club on Bridge Road and noticed that there is a Scottish night on Sat 24th January. Scottish meals, bagpipes, dancers and a Celtic group. They have a website if you need more info
  2. You'll have to let us know where you get your r r r cheap booze from, because wherever I get mine from it cost's me a bloody fortune
  3. Hi Nicola Thanks for replying. I'll send you a pm tonight when I'm not on my phone and I can see wgat I'm doing :-)
  4. Just a little too far for us unfortunately, but good luck with your meet up, which being in a bakehouse I'm sure they won't miss out on that one
  5. That's a fair point Britgirl, maybe the PM is the better option and perhaps that way you get a little bit more personal and more of a feel for the person and whether you think you'll be compatible or not. Thanks for the reply's and hopefully some off you will be able to get together, but every reply and PM is from people living down south, hmm!!
  6. Hi Have had a couple of PM's from people down south also, so I recon if you had a southern meet then surely that would be the way to go!!
  7. Hi Chris, anything over a cold one is an offer I can't refuse lol The north east suburbs especially with the O,Bahn bus track is I would say is very accessible to most places, but even though Adelaide's traffic isn't nowhere as bad as what I had to endure back in the UK, I personally wouldn't want to be living in the northern suburbs and having to work down south and vice versa.
  8. Bump... And can I just add we don't bite
  9. Good luck with your move and we'll see you in Adelaide
  10. I was very well thankyou Tiffany and thankfully still am.. Hope all is good with you
  11. Good thanks Kenny. Regarding AFL mate, well hmm as much as I have tried to get into it and as much as I love sport that's def one that's not for )
  12. I think there are a lot of small civil companies here especially for the utilities but Laing O'Rouke ( familiar name from UK ) are here and I think they are electrifying the railway line.
  13. Is it a tiled roof or tin ?
  14. Hi everyone. Have just come across this site after six years of being in Adelaide and so giving it ago to see if we can meet some new friends. From when we arrived through kids sports, school and work etc we found friends as you do, and although we still socialise with a few of them which is great, others have moved on or moved away, which is understandable as its very difficult to get them special friends where you can feel comfortable with like you did back home with family and friends. We are a couple in our mid forties with a two teenage kids and living in the n / eastern suburbs. Friendly and a good laugh. Gaz
